Dr. L was a hilarious prof for a tougher class! He loves to joke around and made lectures very entertaining. Show up to class to pass. He goes over everything you need to know for the weekly quizzes and encourages good note taking. Can go pretty fast so get ready to write. Overall, not a super hard class and is always willing to help. Take him!!!

If you ever get confused, don't be afraid to ask. He may seem intimidating, but he wants you to do good and understand the material. Although the class wasn't an easy A for me, I was sad when the semester was over. He makes jokes throughout the class that makes learning the material more fun. Even though it was a hard class, I would take him again!

Dr. L is a genuinely hilarious and intelligent man! A lot of it was sarcastic and ironic but I loved it (He read reviews from here on the first day of class xD) The class wasn't a walk in the park, but he told us everything we would need to do and know for the next quiz/test. Don't really need to read if you can just show up and take good notes!

So this man is funny and nice but I don't know if my brain is incapable of comprehending the subject philosophy or if my brain is incapable of comprehending the words coming out of his mouth. Quizzes on every Monday, only 4 tests, only two writing/exercise assignments. I took notes and paid attention and failed every test...

Dude is hilarious and which made the lectures better. You need to pay a lot of attention to board notes because he tells you everything you need to know and doesn't post notes online. Barely any homework which is nice but you definitely need to study the material. Overall he just wants you to succeed so go to him with questions.

Dr. Laumakis is an hilarious professor! He wears Hawaiian shirts every single day and swears a lot. He is so funny! He really knows philosophy incredibly well and tries to use analogies and real world ideas to help you understand. He talks a little fast, but if you ask him to slow down, he totally will. He loves student feedback and is great!

Great professor! Super funny and enthusiastic! His grading isn't all bad, but there's lots of readings. As long as you go to class and take notes (which are btw, all over the place) you'll do just fine! His lectures are heavy, but he tries to make them fun. Attendance is mandatory and it does affect how well you do on your tests and quizzes.

He covers most of the readings in class with summaries, but definitely read to get the little things down, as he'll put it on the test. Long lectures, messy handwriting, but very entertaining.

Good prof for philosophy but he talked loud and it gave me a headache. He tries to make phil as easy and clear as possible but it still kind of confusing. He does care about his students and wants them to succeed. Compared to other phil profs he is probably the best. Tests and quizzes are all T/F or multiple choice.

Dr. Laumakis is a really interesting, funny professor. I personally hate the subject of philosophy but he is the best possible professor I could have taken for this class. He gives a lot of real-world examples and keeps you engaged during lectures. His notes are basically all hand-written on the whiteboard. Tests are kind of hard. Take Laumakis!!

Laumakis is a great professor. He is always willing to talk to you. Attend his weekly review sessions! They are super helpful. His lectures are fast paced, but he is funny and the content is interesting! The only thing he does not do is put grades in canvas, so you need to talk to him to know and keep up! Totally doable though!

Dr. Laumakis is a good choice. You can tell he's taught the class a lot. He presents all the information that you need for the test. That's all though. He does not provide any thought-provoking ideas as one would think a philosophy professor would do. He really likes the Eagles

Lecture heavy, but makes the class fun with his sense of humor and funny stories. There are weekly quizzes and 4 exams which are based off of his board notes (I never read any of the required texts). If you attend class, take notes, and study for exams you'll do just fine. I recommend anyone who's considering taking his class to do so!!

He was fine, very lecture heavy. Made class interesting, I wouldn't necessarily say fun though. Not very understanding if you have other things (health problems, etc.) going on in your life. Easy class if you show up. Recommended if you want an easy A.

I literally can not speak higher about this professor. Makes a very dull subject very interesting, and his sense of humor is incredible. 4 tests, all MC and T/F, which are a breeze if you show up to class. I would take him for every class if i could! Take his class!!!!!!

Laumakis is a really fun guy. There is a good amount of work, but its not challenging. Quite a bit of reading, quiz every week, two papers, and 4 tests. If you put in the effort it really isn't hard to get an A. Dr. L is very laid back about things.

Laumakis is hilarious and extremely intelligent regarding philosophy. Despite that, his lectures are extremely hard to follow. No powerpoints. When he lectures, everything is written on the 6 white boards across the room. His notes are very unorganized and hard to follow. Class could benefit from a more structured lecture. Still a good class.

Comment:
Yes, Laumakis is funny, but he's not a great professor. He seems to enjoy coming across as unsympathetic and offers minimal feedback on work. He monopolizes discussion even in seminars and ridicules opinions that differ from his own. He's also constantly furious at A. the eagles, B. other people's driving, or C. the world at large. Chill, dude.
