I took this class over Jterm so 3 hour lectures with Mega were long and quite boring, but he would incorporate a lot of videos and movies that supplemented the text. He was a classy professor who would help you if you needed it. Tough on essays because you had to know the exact definitions, terms, and facts he wanted. Take him for an easy HIST cred

Comment:

Kind man who enjoys joking with his students. Lectures were pretty dry at times, but he does give some info that is not covered in the text. Is a fair grader on papers and exams. Make sure to know all essay questions (which are given ahead of time for exams). Quizzes are difficult, and it's important to really know book material inside and out.

Mega was pretty funny and a down to earth kind of guy, his tests were easy essays he gave you beforehand, and you never really have to pay attention to the lectures. For a history prof, he's pretty good.

I think he's an excellent lecturer and clearly knows what he's talking about. He was kind and funny and presented the rather dry material in an interesting way. I'd definitely recommend him.

Comment:

Mega's classes are boring and the material is not on the exam. He gives you a review sheet for tests, which are essay based. Get involved in class and participate and he will grade you much more easily on tests. If you don't say much he will pretty much give you a C on every exam. There is no reasoning behind his grading system at all.

I fell asleep every day in this class. It was boring. He is an interesting teacher, but does not know how to provide the information in a good way. If you take notes in class your golden for the tests. Essay tests. However, if he says there are multiple choice quizzes once a week, study super hard for these. This is what killed my grade.

Hey is a great man, and it is an easy class. The only thing is it is the most boring class I have ever been in. This is because he assigns written essays, and asks you to find the answers out of the textbook. Since this is the only way to get points it means his lectures are pointless, and he lectures the whole class. If you want an A take it...

I went to maybe 40% of the classes and got a B+. For the tests you dont even need to do all the reading because he gives you the questions before hand and you can just look up most the answers online. If your looking for a easy B with little effort take this class.

His a nice guy, but all he does is lecture and lecture. He has 2 papers due through the semester. For his test he gives you 8 questions and he picks 2 questions to write essays on. When you ask him for help, hes not that much of help.

A nice well meaning guy. Lectures every day can be boring but easy to understand if you actually pay attention. Two papers, including a 10 pager at the end. All tests are essay, the list of questions is given a week before, then two of those are chosen. If you actually prepare for them it is pretty easy to do well. I got an A-, with medium effort.

Mega is a great guy, with a passion for the MN Wild, but sadly is a horrible teacher. His grading is the most arbitrary concept ever conceived. A plus is that you don't really have to go to class. But overall, don't take this teacher.

Extremely boring lectures. However, only 2 papers and 4 essay exams. Essay questions are given to you a week in advance so you know exactly what's on the test. His grading system makes no sense... he even said he just picks a letter and he loves to play boring videos. I attended 60% of the classes and got a B-

Nice teacher. Took the class in the summer and had an A+. He prepares you before the exam with review questions. Class is boring...it is history but he has a good sense of humor and he tries to make it interesting. Only used one text out of 3 for the summer session so you don't need to buy all 3 texts. Highly recommended!! Take him!!!

Dr. Mega is a very nice person. His class can be interesting at times, but his lectures are dry and monotonous. You will need to study to do well, but it is mostly reading and memorization.
