PHSCS 230 is in general an easy class. Dr. Leishman was really helpful and kind when teaching it. Make sure you leave some time to finish your final project, but the labs themselves are easy and if you do them at home, you don't have to stay for class.

This class is hard no matter who you take it from. Take it from Dr. Leishman. He gives you the tools to actually understand the material well. It's not a walk in the park, but you will learn so much. He gives you awesome, detailed notes which you should keep and use forever. Plus he really cares about each student personally.

Dr. Leishman is very nice, and he helped us work up slowly to PDEs. Still, this was the hardest math class I have ever taken. You need to do the reading to fully comprehend the lectures, though his notes are useful for the homework. Expect to spend a lot of time in the TA lab.

Dr. Leishman is one of the finest educators in academia. He is dedicated to student learning and helps students to become masters of the material. He has high expectations but is very approachable and will sit down with you and work on whatever it is you're having trouble with. One of the best I've had. Thanks Dr. L!

Dr. Lieshman was a great teacher. He made it feel like you were in a small class even when there were a couple hundred of us. He offered plenty of Extra Credit and was there when you needed extra help. Physics for non-physics majors is what this class should be called. it was an easy A and surprisingly interesting.

Dr. L is an amazing professor. Very helpful and will do anything to help his students. Lectures are transparencies and you follow in your notes. his notes better then the textbook. applies material to real scenarios. teaches you how to take the concept and apply it to different problems rather then teach the concept by showing you a single problem.

Dr. L is one of the best professors I have had so far. He is very considerate of his students and goes out of his way to help them. If you want a good grade, he will help you until you get where you want to be. He teaches topics clearly and if a particular lecture doesn't go over very well, he will go over the material again in a different way.

Dr. Leishman is so nice. His class is interesting and easy. He works hard to take care of his students and is always glad to answer any questions asked. It is one of the easiest classes I have taken at BYU...TAKE IT!

Great instructor!! Takes a tough subject and teaches it at an understandable level. I have never had a professor spend so much time working with the students out of class trying to make sure everyone who wants an A gets one. Great Class!!

Exactly what I wanted out of the class: Learned, had fun, got the A. Perfect setup. He was super-adjustable and best of all, reasonable. The guy taught in a way that you wanted to get involved with the class discussions and labs. Way fun; low stress; oh, and exciting. Best college course I've taken in my 4 years.

The best teacher I've ever had in College. He tried to learn everyone's name in our class of 80+ students. He did a pretty good job too. Great in lectures, enthusiastic, takes time to explain difficult material. He is sympathic to nonphysics majors. Labs are fun! He wants everyone to get a good grade so if you don't, it's your own fault.

Great teacher, probably the best in the physcis department. Be prepared to work on hours of homework and labs. Grading is fair. If you like acoustics, you will like this course.
