no exams, just a final business plan. It is hard work and hes a tough grader, but you overall become better from his constant critiques. If you can get past that, hes a valuable resource for networking and learning! i begrudgingly learned a lot. :)

80% of this class was focused on the group project done with a client. You have some say in which client you represent, but you don't get to choose your group. Papers towards the final project ended up being long. There are 2 exams worth 5% each, which isn't difficult if you look over the lecture slides posted on Canvas. Pretty easy class.

Avoid him if you can. Homework is frequent and rarely clear. His expectations are very high. I prioritize making a connection with my professors and am a straight-A student, but this guy had no interest outside of business. Lectures are what is on the slides, but you have to come. Had him for 2 classes, wish i didnt. He's smart but not worth it

You have an assignment due basically every week, which is supposed to help you put together a business plan due at the end of the semester. Very unclear what he is looking for and very thorough when revising your papers. Does not put grades into d2l, so you really do not know your grade until its uploaded into WINS.

students must work on a business idea during the course of the semester, he does not provide clear details on each paper subject that he wants. Does not use a standard grading scale. He does not input grades online until after the semester ends. prepare to work hard for everything.

Great guy, very energetic and funny but he kind of understated the amount of work the class was going to be. He said it was going to be hard work but nobody really knew what he meant. He kind of forces us to build a product and write a whole detailed business model of it including projected revenues, market analysis, etc. Learned a lot, not easy A.

Great instructor and is knowledgeable but is not clear with direction about group projects. Gave us 5 days to read up 10 long articles and answer questions for the exam. But great teach overall!

Dougan is an awesome prof. He really cares about the students and he puts together the annual entrepreneurship contest where students can win $5,000 or 10,000. And he's very connected in the biz world.
