I highly recommend this professor. He is extremely helpful and he is one of the best professors CSUN has to offer! He is very polite, patient, and extremely down to earth. He really cares about his class and goes that extra mile to help his students out. His lectures are clear, his tests are average but his grading is awesome!

He doesn't need a review! Seriously, struggled in calc 3 and failed twice, passed with B- without any effort with him. Easy exams, easy homework, tons and tons of extra credit opportunities, even the people who were failing passed with C+ minimum. TAKE HIM. THEY SHOULD MAKE COPIES OF HIM AND GIVE TO OTHER DEPARTMENTS.

He is by far the best Calc III professor. He really cares about his students and he knows that they are things that is pointless to teach so he doesn't concentrate about them. He offers a lot of extra credit and exams are easier than homeworks for sure. Take himm

Lectures can be a bit confusing, but he answers any questions asked. Tests are pretty standard and gives a lot of extra credit. Homework was harder than the tests.

Glad I took him for Calc III. I missed 20% of his class and relied mostly on the book. As a student who cannot focus well on lectures, I can still say he did a good job. He is different from other Calc professors because he actually wants the students to understand the concept and how to derive equations. HE GIVES GENEROUS PARTIAL CREDITS! TAKE HIM

Lots of extra credit, nice curve, picks a respected textbook, has lots of errors on his slideshows, learn something cool every lecture, really rushes things near end of semester. Tests get hard after 1st one. Final exam is fair. Homework is very hard but 20%, online quiz 10%, final 30%, midterms (2) 20% each, plus extra credit worth a whole test!

A very bad professor, confusing, lacks knowledge of the subject. Goes to class unprepared and upset. Exams are hard. He gets easily lost in his own argument and notes. Gets mad easily and not willing to help anyone. Avoid him if you don't want to waste your time and you GPA.

If math is not your strong suit I highly recommend this professor. He is extremely helpful and students tend to take advantage of his kindness. Very polite and patient; can be a little intimidating at first but he is extremely down to earth. Little use of textbook in his class and his test problems are very similar to the HW. AWESOME CLASS !!!

best professor ive ever had for mathematics. stresses on how knowing the proofs will make everything a lot easier to comprehend. goes in depth on problems when needed. is there to help every student get an A. you will do a lot better if u are not passive as opposed to just taking notes. take him above any other teacher if u can.

Out of every instructor I've ever had, he is by far the best. He makes the class interesting. If you do the HW, and study to actually learn the material, you'll get an A. I owe him so much for all the help he has given me. I would take him again if I could, and would totally recommend him.

I had my first C on a test EVER in college, but got an A in the class due to the final. His curve is extremely good, 85% = A. I mainly learned from PaulsOnlineNotes and donny lee's youtube lectures and used the teacher as a secondary resource. he has useful homework problems and tests, so just do those and you should be fine.

Alekseenko may be nice and good looking but he really stinks as a professor (at least at the higher level courses). His lectures consisted of the proofs (which are already in the book) but he would get lost and confused with his own notes. Terrible! This class was a waste of time. I got an A and didn't learn a thing.

One of the best math professors at CSUN. He explains things very well, and he actually has a personality. He has a cool accent, and he talks about his life in Russia a lot. He's down-to-earth and will help you if you go to his office. Homework is optional and he's an easy grader. I'd love to have him again in another math class.
