As a person who enjoys math a lot, I was disappointed go find out how this professor is really bad at teaching. Just reads from the textbook for all the lectures. The only reason why I passed is because I taught myself and had a study group.

I feel bad for this professor because he has trouble using the whiteboard, which makes it difficult for him to thoroughly teach students online. However, that doesn't mean he is excused from his ineffective form of teaching. All he does is read the textbook, so you're probably better off reading it and taking notes yourself.

This professor is alright. He's a smart professor, it's just that he does not know how teach to a class properly. He just reads from the book, so I just reached myself. Took this class during the pandemic, so it was a bit easier. Homework was alright, except most of it will not be covered on quizzes/tests. He is generous when it comes to grading.

Be Cautious! Very unclear explanations of overall material. Speaks very rapidly and often disorganized. His muttering also makes it diffcult to understand him! Writing is quite messy. The class would frequently correct him on the smallest mistakes. Leaves problems and examples incomplete w no detailed solutions for later review. Seek study groups!

I wouldn't go out of my way to take his class again since he doesn't like questions but I think he gets a bad rap because he has trouble communicating. Overall, I thought he was very fair. Discrete Math is a difficult class and he was very lenient on the grading and offered a reasonable amount of extra credit and the curve was very low (60% - C).

In my one semester experience, he has yelled and insulted everyone student that has asked a question. Homework isn't too bad, but will definitely take a few hours to complete regardless of how well you understand maths up to this point. Tests lightly cover homework and then derail to uncovered problems.

Very unclear explinations of material. Speaks very quickely and jumbles over his words, so it can be very difficult to understand him. His writing is completely illegible, equivalent to someone who is right handed trying to write with their left hand. Leaves problems and examples incomplete. Basically, be prepared to teach yourself!!!!

By far the worse professor I have ever had in any subject . The quizzes are hard the exams are always a surprise . Any of the hw you do will never be on the quizzes or exams . I spent countless hours studying for this class . Some how some way I made it out with a C . The one thing I learned from him "THIS IS HIGHSCHOOL ALGEBRA!" Stay away!

If you can do the homework at 2530 or higher grades then you'll do fine in the class. His tests are easier than the homework, but the homework is very very difficult. It was the hardest math class I've taken and he's difficult to talk to but he makes sense. You MUST spend at least 4-5 hours outside of class every week in order to do well. SO HARD!

Terrible handwriting, not helpful, thick accent, and if you didnt know a concept he would say something to the kin of "You should have learned this in high school!". His tests and quizzes were always the hardest questions that he could finddream up. wouldn't let us use a cheat sheet on the final even though every other 150B class got to.

If ever there was a hard-mode math class, math 350 with Prof Polewczak would be it. His homework is difficult instead of educational, and the tests are straightforward only after he gives the answers (i.e. hard but not impossible). He calls everything "high school level" which is not helpful, but he is almost always fair if you can argue the grade.

Fantastic, enthusiastic, definitely a class to want to re-take because it was so fun. He grades fairly, but his homework is difficult to master. I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style and do not regret taking his class, no matter how hard it was. Polish accent, but very smart guy. Unique in that he makes the material blow your mind.

RUN! RUN! RUN! Very difficult to comprehend. Seems to get angry when asked questions. For my class, each test seems to have a large portion of people getting D's and F's. Honestly, the only reason I passed with an A in this class was because I took AP Calculus in high school and spent a lot of time in the Math tutoring center.

He has a very thick accent so it is REALLY hard to keep up with what is being taught. He gives pop quizzes so attendance is mandatory. He has really sloppy handwriting and when you ask him a question and don't get it, he gets irritated. Overall, if you keep up with the homework and review the material well outside, you should pass with a C minimum.

He is one of the worst math professors I've ever had. He goes through the material at the speed of light, he gets mad at you for asking legitimate questions, and his homework takes WEEKS to complete. His tests are hard, difficult, and he expects you to know everything on material he barely covered. AVOID HIM AT ALL COST!
