A very smart professor who genuinely goes out of her way to benefit her students. Picks great and relevant readings and movies, and makes herself accessible to students via e-mail and meetings. Highly recommended.

Comment:

So helpful and knowledgeable. She trys hard to facilitate class discussions and really go out of her way to help her students to find their ways. Understanding, intelligent, and elegant also! I have NO interests in social science prior to this class and now I'm profoundly intrigued and starting to gain insights. Thanks Barbara! Easily my favorite!

Comment:

Really sweet, absolutely knows her stuff, and will go out of her way for her students. Brought us cider & donuts during movie screenings! Also, she's willing to LISTEN to students--definitely NOT one of those inflexible profs who discard others' opinions. Take her classes!

Barbara is not the friendliest (compared to Marlene Fried whom she taught the class with) but she is easily one of the smartest women I have ever met. I definitely recommend a class with her.
