Doesn't give any information prior to semester. You'll be playing catch up with pointless assignments that are made more difficult for seemingly no reason. Will make you spend money outside of the class

Took his online Project management course. Easy online course. Don't read into the assignments and just do what he wants. Majority of assignments make no sense for a project and were just nonsense and nonrelevant. You can gain real knowledge from researching what each topic is, rather than the assignments that again, were useless.

Multiple assignments due every day in class. Some assignments are graded as a 0, even if you turned them in early/on time. If you have a family emergency and miss a test, don't worry, he'll give you a second attempt. BUT, he'll cut that grade in half. Prepare to teach yourself, though the answers aren't in the book or online, so good luck studying.

Funny dude, but almost impossible to understand. He sounds like the City Wok guy from South Park. Make sure you really read the syllabus because he'll tell you in class to do one thing for a project, and you'll wind up losing points because you forgot to include something he mentioned in the syllabus. The class itself was almost entirely group work

A little hard to understand and the lectures are worthless, but he's pretty funny. This would have been much better as an online class for sure. Lots of work. The final group project is a nightmare if your group members are lazy.

DO NOT take it online. Online classes are supposed to allow students to work around their schedule. Thats hard to do when you have a day to do 2 assignments and must take quizzes by 12pm. What? I lost all of my points on quizzes because of this asinine timeframe. Little to no explanations rather than copy and pasted assignments. Not good.

Do not take this professor for CIS 1026 online. I gave this class a 1 of 5 due to how hard it was to understand what the hell he was talking about. A class that was suppose to be done with ease ended up being hard and took a lot of extra time from having to re-read his instructions a hundred times to decipher what he wanted exactly.

Dr. Chen is the man. Nice and friendly guy. His personality makes class interesting, definitely not boring, that's for sure. Can be a little unclear, but I enjoyed his class, learned a lot and did well.

So hard to understand anything he is saying, and not just because of his accent. Students were constantly showing him how to navigate a PC. Nice guy, but I still don't know anything useful about Systems Analysis.

Friendly guy. If he was half as good at teaching as he is nice, he would be amazing - but he's not. Extremely unclear about expectations, due dates and subject. Made grading mistakes on lots of people's assignments. So hard to understand! He's nice, but if there is any way you can take someone else you will be glad you did.

I took this class to get ahead in the summer, thinking it would be easy. He seemed like a nice person when sending us online messages, but the class was a lot of work. It was not extremely hard, but I thought the work was time consuming and tedious.

online summer class, had multiple assignments due everyday. confusing deadlines: he said he extended deadlines that did not get extended on ASUlearn, so assignments were due earlier than what he said and he did not fix that even when notified. i lost grades on assignments i turned in, it didn't help that i couldn't have real time help.

Nice guy, but extremely hard to understand. The online tests are supposed to be from the book, but I had trouble on them even with the book, and power points and notes. Classes are sometimes irrelevant, and the "Activities" are a waste of time. I hear the other professors in this department are better, so take them instead if you have the choice

Super fun. Great energy. Had a joke on some Monday mornings. Tests were fairly easy, and you get a second chance to take the test outside of class. We had a couple of papers, but they weren't too tough. I don't think anybody could've been better to have for this class. Take Chen!

Charlie Chen is the man. His class is extremely easy and the material is pertanent to a degree in IS. He is very nice and helpful. Easy A. Class is really laid back, and he's actually pretty intertaining. This class is required for an IS degree, and Charlie is the only one teaching ASP.net so you have to take him. He's cool.

Dr. Chen is probably one of the nicest profs at ASU - he's always smiling or laughing, and always joking around. Learning curve on his accent is about 2-3 days. Grades can be odd/subjective sometimes, which could be rough, but he def. knows his stuff about computers. I've really liked the class, I'd recommend him.
