Professor Sperry was easily one of my favorite professors at CSM. If you were in class and participated, you should have an easy A. The material was simple, the lectures were long but they went in-depth on all of the lessons from the book. She made the transition from in-class to online (due to COVID-19) simple. Great teacher, 5/5 would take again!

I have had here for two classes no and she is the best! She is so helpful and actually works with you. Her grading was easy to understand.

Goes through subjects so fast that the material is not easily understood. Also, does not grade quizzes on time so I'm still unsure if I'm passing the class which is bad for me because it's too late to drop it.

She jokes around way to much. And if you catch her on a bad day it turns into a bad week. She can be very rude when you ask a question. She is not very understanding for emergencies.

I'm not a fan of math but she made it easy for me. If you show up to class ready to learn you will do well with her as your instructor.

Professor Sperry is an amazing teacher. She teaches clear and thorough, and is always willing to help if you need it. She gives exams for each chapter as well as a graded study guide. You can also expect to work in groups a lot. Ms. Sperrys only downfall is she takes forever to grade your assignments, but is very fair and thorough when she grades.

Professor Sperry was nice and all, but it was as if we were children. We worked out of the book and I finished what we were doing early, so I went on to the next chapter. She told me I should wait for everyone else, annoyed I did. I felt as if she held me back, but that could just be me.

Probably one of the worst professors at CSM. She grades things incredibly late, saying she will have it done "by next class" but it's not done for another week or more. She gets off-topic way too much and is often sarcastic towards her students. There are way better professors to take for calculus so avoid Sperry at all costs.

Loved her as a professor (took three semesters ago). Super friendly and was more than happy to help if I had any questions. She taught fast though and had too many quizzes. Wished she taught Calc 2 and Calc 3 though.

She is a nice lady, when I needed help she would spend her offices hours after class to help me. She doesn't really give extra credit though. I didnt need the textbook but I needed the student notebook and mymathlab code for mth 1105. She really tries engaging with the class. She is nice but doesn't budge much with grades, you get what you earned.

Bottom line, calc is hard. Math teachers often get a bad rap because the material is hard. Sperry tought quick and expected a lot, but if you asked for help she would be MORE THAN HAPPY to. I respect her because she will do ever thing that she can to help if you're willing to try. Also, no notes allowed for exams. :)

Probably great in the classroom, but terrible as an online teacher. Grading didn't happen until the end of the semester. If you're having trouble with the class you're not going to find out until the week before the final exam probably. Would not take again in an online environment.

Nothing was graded on time. We were required to do journal entries every week, she graded the first four on time. The other 10 were not graded until the last week of class. It was the same with our tests, 2-4 were graded at the same time as 5. I spent the entire semester with no idea how I was doing. She did not stick to her own schedule at all.

This teacher was ok. However, I wouldn't recommend her for an online class. She grades late and doesn't fulfill her promises. I think she even took out the last test in the final grade. If I had not received an A in the course, I would have been a lot more upset because I thought I did well on that test. Oh well. She is a procrastinator.
