Comment:

This class was a big regret. Her accent is so thick and hard to understand. She leaves hardly any room for interaction or feedback. Each class was her reading off of Powerpoint. The tests were 60+ questions on topics that she didn't cover, you would have to read in detail on your own. If you challenge a grade or score, she loses is and yells. Ugh.

The professor is very soft spoken and hard to hear long lectures. Student must take notes, study guide long no question give, study guide statement & pages, several extra credits this help me greatly. Group grade very high regardless of mistakes of others. Professor will not review study guide before test you Must remember when you test day

Prof. is a nice and helpful. class can be boring though. Gives study guide. Study it! You will pass. Gave four test. One paper and a group presentation. Very easy though. Attendance is important she gives in class work if you miss a class you basically miss possible points.

Very easy class, open book tests, easy if you study the powerpoint and the book. Has an accent, very difficult to understand. also, she does not take kindly to the opinions of students and avoids questions when she doesn't seem to know the answer. never ever ever taking her again!

Very easy teacher. Thought I had a low B in the class but ended up w/ an A. She is very helpful but VERY hard to understand. Better to just ignore her lectures and read in the book. If you do the work its an easy A.

Currently taking her intro to sociology class. She is very easy especially if you keep up with your reading. straight lecture and her class is very boring. She gets upset easily and isn't a very good teacher at all. 10/10 for easy. 3/10 for teaching. She also needs to start dropping people that don't attend because hardly anyone shows up for class.

I do not recommend her. She does not explain assignments clearly and when questioned she gets upset. Her class is straight lecture, no discussions or class interaction, very boring. Gets distracted easily and is very unorganized. Easy A if you study. She is way too nice, lets students walk all over her. A great disappointment.

Boring, don't take 3-hr. classes. Heavy accent, gives lectures. You have to debate in front of the class but gives you about 3 months to prepare. You can go up there and read your notes during the group debate, no sweat. No homework; gives test back, look up correct answers for the ones you missed, correct them and get a higher grade.

Enjoyed the class. She knows her stuff and is passionate about it. She is well-rounded in her education having studied abroad. Mostly lecture. Could use a little more class participation. Debate was not what I expected but challenging. It was a shame that half the class dropped when written reports were due.

my first college class, twas so fun and easy, no hw, just show up and she reads the book alot, lets u grade ur own tests and redo the ones u got wrong so u can get a higher grade on test, VERY lineant, gets mad if u ask ppl for answers on test when regrading instead of looking in book

I enjoyed this class more than I thought I would. Did not like the debate but survived it. Emma is a very nice professor and I feel the content was presented well even with her accent (apparently others here had a harder time than my class did). All in all - a good class/experience on a subject that I had no interest at all going into.

great class, Emma is a very sweet lady and grades very generously I am not really interested in sociology but she made it easy to understand and fun not hard to get an A in her class
