Professor Hill is the best. He can come off a little wacky at first which can be weird when youre first starting his class but overall the class is easy and his lectures are interesting. Would 100% take his class again.

He seems kind of wacky at first, but as time goes on, you realize that its what makes him so brilliant. His lectures feel like speeches sometimes. Very engaging and thought provoking. Makes you look at movies in a completely different way. I actually looked forward to his lectures more than the movies. One of the best teachers Ive ever had!

I enjoyed listening to professor Hills lectures. I appreciate that he spoke very little about one sided politics and was fair when talking about it. I like how he spoke his mind and said what he believes.

This guy is awesome. He knows what he is talking about in both fields film and communication studies. you might find him to much a bit in the beginning, but trust me he is one of the very best.

Comment:

Cool and genuine teacher, but his personality takes getting used to. He's sort of spazzy, but he tells hilarious stories and is very good at making sure the class is engaged in what he's talking about. The class itself was enjoyable and easy, and I had really strong anxiety about public speaking. Lots of group activities and speech preparation.

Films were ok, mainly showed older films. Mostly classics. Some lecture and movie watching and then you opinions on the film. I think there were one or two papers based on vocabulary and what you got out of the assignment.

He is very energetic and out spoken! 4 speeches and daily in class work. He shows you slowly how to do things and grows you and a presenter and gives you feed back on everything which is very helpful!

he is very enthusiastic person. he yells out of nowhere but its funny. overall he is a great professor be prepared to present at least 30 seconds of a speech everyday. He gives 5 total speeches for us to present throughout the semester. The last speech is 8 minutes long.

Hill was a great Communications professor. He's really out going, a good lecturer (also rarely gives lecture), absolutely no homework. No textbook use (I'd recommend not purchasing the text book. You don't need it). Really easy midterm, and there's only 4 speeches. Yes you read that right. Only 4! He really knows how to gradually be better speakers

Prof. Hill is an amazing teacher. Was not looking forward to taking a communications class and to be honest I wanted to drop after the first class session with him. Stuck through it because of his amazing ability to teach what he loves. Such an interesting individual and highly recommend. Do the work and you will pass

I loved Professor Hill's class. He's kind of crazy but you get used to it. Each class theres a writing assignment but it's really easy. There's four speeches and a midterm, just be prepared for the speeches (he's an easy grader) and review a little for the midterm and you'll be fine. I didn't use my book at all.

Such a fun and EASY class, Professor Hill can get a bit crazy (Jumps on and off his desk) and swears sometimes, but he is very nice and generous with the assignments. The movies were interesting and fun to watch, would take again!

Professor Hill is such a funny guy I was dreading this class but it was super chill and interesting. The class itself is easy show up every class and watch a movie. The two tests are easy basically gives you it the class before- hes also handsome which is a plus lol

Didn't use book, only for midterm. Very understanding if you can't go to class for work, family, etc. reasons. Cares about students. Doesn't give hw. Seems uptight at 1st, but is entertaining and a great professor as semester goes on. Just be prepared for the speeches (4 in all, he grades easy). No final test, just a final speech. One of the best professor's I've had! He makes everything interesting, and he's hilarious. I learned more in World Cinema than I expected.
