Comment:

Lectures are based on reading slides. Mostly talking and not showing steps of the math. He gives out midterm/final practices with answers, but, sometimes his answers are wrong (therefore, students are confused). He often starts class unprepared and in result he wasted students time by preparing his class. (usually 10-20 mins in lectures).

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. This is the first time I've ever written a review so you know he must be terrible. He's so boring just reads off the powerpoint and has a huge ego. If you ask him a question and you don't understand he yells at you as well. I really advise you to not take him, if you are thinking about it...

Hell nah my guy, definitely would no recommend. No patience and his lectures are boring af. He could put you to sleep and tuck you in with his monotone voice. Unless you like boring profs, dont choose this prof.

The worst professor I ever had. His lectures are extremely boring consisting of him just reading off slides. He gets mad and starts talking aggressively if you make a mistake. He needs to learn how to teach and help his students. If you have the option avoid him at all cost unless you wanna mentally struggle.

He reminds of a professor like we used to have in elementary school who will design exams on just definitions and will give good grades only if we write the same book language. Exams are a bit lengthy and if you can't memorize the book language, getting grades is hard. Assignment workload is okay. All the best if you are going to choose him.

Says that participation is graded but barely opens room for student talk, lectures are him talking the whole class. Classes are all about the slides. He asked for FITT book but I did not use it did not need. If you are not able to memorize, wont pass. His Exams are all about definitions and items listed on the slides. 3 indiv papers and 1 group OK

Comment:

Defensive teaching style. Insulted a student early on for a mistake HE made, then would argue with anyone that questioned him. Made for a very difficult learning environment. That being said, if you follow his study guides and are confident in your math skills you'll be more than fine. He gives extra credit questions on all his exams.

Comment:

Attendance is mandatory. But no pressure. Easy to pass the course. He is a good and caring not very strict. Only one group project throughout the entire course. Review questions are really helpful for the exams. To be honest lectures are boring.

Lectures long and boring, his grading is confusing (he gives out some grading criteria and you follow it but then he says something else), memorizing was a pain but helps for the term tests and final. He also grades grammar and spelling so get ready to feel like you're back in grammar school.

Lecture would be like blaah blaah blaah blaah. and BOOM it ends. So mundane and boring. No interaction with students. I like all other classes but his is like i can't remember anything after class ends.

Comment:

Eugene is a very good teacher. He incorporates his life experience or stories into course material to make things easy to understand. Quizzes and exams are easy as long as you spend time to read and understand the textbook as well as memorize the review questions. The only complaint probably is too much memorization involved in his exams.

Having Eugene as a prof is as close to having no prof at all. He reads word for word from the slides(which are posted on blackboard). When you ask him a question he will try to make you feel bad for not knowing the answer, I suspect this is because he too does not know the answer. That being said, his tests are fairly easy if you read the textbook

I don't even know why I took his class, it isn't even transferrable. But, you're teaching yourself a class that you're paying for. You're better off learning straight from the textbook and he makes mistakes a quarter of the time he's teaching If you have the option, get a better prof to save yourself from wasting 3 months. :)
