All I can say is how glad I am that I met Professor Sheth in my first semester - she changed the way I approach reading, writing, and thinking in general. She is incredibly intelligent and articulate - she's only strict because she wants her students to make the most out of their education. She motivated me, she taught me, and she inspired me.

She consistently shuts down students who are legitimately trying very rudely. She ignores preferred names. I feel so unsafe in Sheth's class, she also tends to shut down actual experiences of POC in class. She also assigns ridiculously long readings and gives un-helpful feedback on essays. If you're thinking about taking a class with her, don't.

Falguni is incredibly intimidating but worth every minute of your time. Shes an extremely intelligent professor and scholar. her classes always left me with thoughts rushing through my head throughout the day. if you care about the class then she cares about you. difficult classes that take a lot of time and patience but well worth the effort.

a very smart individual who is passionate and interesting. hard on her students and does not take bull. one annoying thing is that she does not read your self evaluation before she writes her evaluation of you. this signals to me that she is uninterested in your input.

Amazing, compassionate woman. Absolutely brilliant. She has a rep for being too tough but if you don't want a challenge, don't take her class. There are just certain things she expects you to know and if you don't, you better come to class with solid questions!

Sheth is intimidating and challenging and doesn't take bullsh*t. Class discussion sort of suffered because of this, but she lectures really well and her assignments were very helpful in working through the material. I learned a lot.

Falguni is a strange professor. She comes on really hard, is really critical, and tries to scare her students into working hard and being responsible. But she doesn't follow through. If you are serious and approach her, she's always "too busy" or "overloaded," though her classes and advising are no bigger than other, more available profs. Annonying

Falguni is smart and articulate, but often seemed to not really be listening to people's points in class. She has a point she's driving towards and is not interested in any deviation. She will shut down people who aren't making valid and interesting points. As to Political Phil. in particular, a really good grounding in the basics, but very basic.

Falguni is, simply put, the best prof I have ever worked with. She is brilliant and incredibly challenging, forcing students to think in new ways. It seems like every time I talk with her my thinking gets more complicated. The material she teaches is also excellent, though often incredibly frustrating. Her classes are very hard but very worthwhile.

omg! i used to love sheth, and then i worked with her on my Div 3... she was never helpful, never actually read my chapters, and for a large part of the time didn't actually know what my div was about. take her classes because they're awesome, but quit school before you work with her... she'll ALWAYS discourage you to go to grad school. she blows.

falguni sheth is brilliant, sharp and passionate. i wish i could talk like she lectures. she's also tough as hell and WILL NOT suffer ****ters, which is frankly a relief in a philosophy class. the readings she chooses will be brutal. occasionally, evaluations take forever to come. but that's it.
