She's really nice. I've taken three courses with her, one being independent research. Very helpful even when you're researching outside her area of expertise. The readings can be extremely dense but make a skeleton and fill in key details, highlight a few key quotations and you'll be fine. Would absolutely recommend taking her. Written 2020.

I love her and she is a wonderful person. I enjoy class discussion and find it incredibly interesting. However, while it is interesting, she tends to ramble and never really gets to the point of what she's trying to say, making note-taking and participating in discussions a bit difficult

I'll start by saying that she is a FANTASTIC advisor. She actually cares about you and will go out of her way to meet with you if you need it. That being said, her class was almost unbearable. She knows her stuff, for sure, but her accent coupled with the waves of information and readings she dumps on you makes for a really tough class.

Jutta's lecture style is to ramble for a bit until you almost know where she's going and then turn to the class and say, "Now why do you think this is? Hmmm? What do you think could be causing this at this time?" and she gets frustrated when she gets blank stares. Which of course, is all she gets.

She is very smart. However, she is utterly incomprehensible and useless. She is always unclear. I never know what she is looking for. She changes her mind, and has ridiculous expectations that she only communicates at the last minute. NEVER WORK WITH HER!!!!!!

Jutta is a very unique professor, but if you understand her quirkiness and give her a chance, then you quickly discover her brilliance. She treats students with a great deal of respect and although her approach may be intimidating and she may seem flustered much of the time, well, that is part of what makes her so interesting.

the worst professor i've had yet. she was completely unclear. she failed to put together complete sentences that were in any ay relevent to the questions asked. no cohesion, no big picture to her class. she was unfriendly and extremely unhelpful due to her inability to respond with any releveance to questions asked.

This professor is the worst I've ever had. Nothing she says makes any sense to me and the only thing I ever hear in her lectures are "I don't know" and "maybe." She never makes a point and constantly goes off on completely meaningless tangents and assumes we have extensive background knowledge.

wow. 3/4 of the way through the semester, and I've given up on her. In other words, she's terrible, unclear, unhelpful. Worst run classroom I've ever been in, and I've seen the worst (lynn miller). If you like boring tangents and not learning history in a history class, Jutta is for you.

Jutta is a nice person, but I can easily say I learned nothing from her course. She plays favorites for people who already have a lot of knowlege in the area she is teaching and she expects very specific ways of writing, which she was never really clear on.
