Honestly this is the worst class I have ever taken. Prof. K is a nice guy but a bad teacher in my opinion. He has no clear way of grading and gives a ton of homework. This wouldn't bother be, except that I don't feel that I learned anything. The lectures made me want to bang my head against a wall because they never seemed to go anywhere.

He's a nice guy, but not the best professor. Be prepared to read A LOT before every lectured class. He says he grades off of effort but you could put 3 hours into your work and still not get a great grade. Also there are mini quizzes out of 5 point before every class

All around a great professor, has a lot of readings but doesn't ask too much of you. He is caring and asks to put your heart into things. If you put in the effort, you get the grades. Highly recommend any of his classes if you're looking to get deep messages out of things. He is a deep person, who wants get you to think outside the box

Quizzes, quizzes, and more quizzes. You will have a quiz almost every class. Lectures usually had nothing to do with the weekly quizzes that we got. Even the notes given to us through his website didn't always correspond with the quizzes given. 90% of your grade will be from them and the other 10% is a 200 multiple choice final exam. Best of luck..

He makes you work but he also makes you think and learn the material which is nice. He is also very interactive with his students and although he gives a lot of work, it is worth it.

Great class I would recommend taking this class. The professor is always available to answer questions, and gets back to you usually the same day. There are quizzes every day that are worth a large part of your grade, but you can prepare and write out your answers before class. The final is a paper, and there is not book just articles he provides

Great professor, but there are quizzes every class that are worth a large part of your grade. You can prepare and write out your answers before class. There are extra credit opportunities, and he responds very quickly to emails. He's always available for questions, and is very accommodating. Great professor!

Greatest professor I've ever had! Highly recommend. Quizzes every week rather than tests every 2 or 3, making it easier to retain info. He explains subjects in such a way that makes it so simple to grasp and understand. He also really keeps your interest going with his honesty and the kind of material he covers.

Show up every day. There's always a quiz and articles to read. However, your tests aren't on the main things you talk, read, and study about. He gives study guides but they're not helpful. If you have a photographic memory you'll get an A. Otherwise, best of luck coming from a now former A and B student.

He is probably THE BEST professor I have had at Lakeland. He grows on you, don't judge him by his first lecture because I promise you by the end of whatever class you are taking, you will have learned sooo much more than you would by any text book.

I do not understand how anyone could not completely enjoy Jim's class. I have taken his intro class, then his psychology of happiness, and now I'm taking his adolescent psych class. He really wants his students to learn. Do not be afraid to talk during his class. He will respect you for it. He's the nicest guy I have met. TAKE HIS CLASS.

Very awesome teacher. He really cares about what he teaches and makes the class interesting. Someone who doesn't really care for the subject may not do very well in his class. There is a lot of work and readings outside of class. However, all test and quizzes are take home, including final. Strongly recommend, though may not be for everyone.

One of the best professors I've taken, and this is my 2nd time taking him. I took Adolescent Psych, and his non-traditional method of teaching gets you engaged. He encourages critical thinking. No textbook, all articles. Quizzes everyday from readings. A movie is one assignment which pieces it all together. I wish he taught more of my classes!

This was by far my favorite college course. It was a lot of work but it felt so worth it because of the amount of knowledge i gained. He promotes a higher level of thinking and teaches in a way that makes the content applicable and interesting. I wish more of my classes were taught by him!

Kargakos is a dedicated, down to earth Professor, who doesnt shove the fact that he's an actual 'Life Coach' down your throat! Lol! Instead he offers gems of wisdom and a realistic perspective of 'What Happiness Is' Positive Psych with a twist!

This guy by far was the best teacher I've had in college. I took his Psych of Happiness class, and it's a class I'll never forget! It's A LOT of reading and quizzes, but the questions asked for the readings are the potential quiz questions. Discussion class, and definitely applicable. Final paper is the final, no midterm. Shows passion for sure!

The hardest class I have taken in my college experience. I struggled really bad with this class, yet he was more than willing to work with me and understood my struggle. Don't give up and attempt to do what he asks. Very awesome teacher, will always remember his class!!
