He doesn't seem too enthusiastic about the material. The class is really easy, if you know a little about jazz history you won't have to show up at all... He skips some important players sometimes, only to listen to players of less significance (we didn't even talk about Wayne or Herbie...) Only take the class if you know very little about jazz.

Excellent and very insightful class. Jeff is an amazing teacher - he knows the stuff so well at the back of his hand. A great class for people who are new to jazz and for the more experienced cats too.

I loved having Jeff as a private instructor. He really knows his stuff and was a really good motivator. The only thing is, he's a little bit too nice. He'll tell you that you're sounding good even when you're not always. But he'll always help you with things if you ask for help.

Kind of a useless class unless you are extremely devoted to the study of jazz, but Jeff made it worth my time every single time. Enthusiastic, spirited guy who clearly knows his stuff and loves teaching it. I've never heard him play but I hear he's KILLING.

amazing private teacher. he adjusts his teaching style to adhere to each individual students' needs. he's a sick trumpet player with a broad band of knowledge to offer. i have done all 4 semesters of private lessons with jeff... great over all.

This class was AWESOME. We basically came in and listened to Jeff talk about jazz musicians and then listen to cuts of them playing for 2 hours every week. No homework. Easy Tests. Very Chill.

Opened my eyes to many different ways to approach soloing. Good guy... never looks at his students when he teaches though lol Makes me wonder if he really cares or if he just likes to remind himself of how to solo =) Great guy and great trumpet player.
