He was very unclear with his assignments and you found out you did it wrong after you turned in your drawing or model and got an Unsatisfactory grade! His lectures were so boring! Class was pretty lenient, but the TA's were so ridiculous--they graded dumb things. Honestly, when I tried on my drawings and took my time, I got low grades. So dont.

Nice guy! he will be the best instructor you'll have in architecture, so be happy with him. gets no better. i did struggle and had to work hard, but if you ask plenty of questions and show that you are working at it, he will help!

Comment:

One of the most knowledgable, fair professors there. Too bad he's not more involved in the other studios, as you would see this more than in the huge freshman level studios where you barely get a crit. Take him if he's available for upper level drawing classes. Really nice instructor, fair person.

This class is easy if you show up and do the work. However, he will give you a C for a final grade even if you hardly ever get a C in the class. You do have in class drawing assignments for test grades, and most work can be finished or come close to being finished in class. TA's are very helpful. The TA's do most of the in class teaching.

joe guy class was mediocre to me because he never gave that many desk crits to make a person better. he was so dam dry and laid back. he'd sit and grade drawings during class after the lecture and call u up jus to tell u to REDRAW over n over. but his TA's help out alot, especially lil ass miguel.
