Dr. Theissen is a great professor! He is very nice and helpful. I took this class to get my science credit out of the way, but I really enjoyed it! 2 midterms, a final, and a few quizzes. If you pay attention and study, you'll be fine. Don't buy the textbooks, I didn't open them once.

Had no interest in Geology prior to taking this class but Kevin tries his hardest to make it interesting! He is SO helpful and nice! Don't buy the book I never do the readings because he posts all the powerpoints online. You need to go to class because he does random in class assignments you can't make up. And you need to buy the clicker!

Kevin is the best! he is the most helpful, nice, and funny teachers. everyone should take a class from him! i wasnt interested in geology at all but he makes it really interesting...i definitely reccommend him!

Overall, a great young prof. He has this online quiz that has questions you'll have all semester that you can go back and review on without being graded. He sometimes has homework but it's usually easy as well as the quizes. The tests are where he gets you, with them being pretty hard and require tremendous amounts of studying. A great guy though.

Kevin is a real nice guy and is always willing to answer any questions students have. His tests are generally not too difficult but his study guides contain so much information it's hard to know what will be on the exams and what won't. Has in class assignments from time to time but not too often. Doesn't seem to have an attendance policy.

a lot harder then you would think. advice for his tests: pay NO attention to his "studyguides" i memorized the one for the 1st test... and got a B- on the test because it had NOTHING to do with what was actually on the test!rarely hw- but he does random in-class assignments 1-2 times a week that you CAN'T make up if you miss!

Kevin is a great teacher. It's very clear that he is interested in his topic and he is very knowledgable about it all. I think it might be easy to fall asleep in his class (though I've never done it). Puts all of his lectures online, which is great for tests.

I had an awesome time in Kevin's class. He is really interesting and excited about Geology which shows in his teaching. The tests and quizzes can be tough, but he gives you the study guide before hand. Labs are easy. Doesn't hurt that he is a fox either...

This class is awesome! Kevin's such a nice guy and he's always willing to help. He wants all of his students to love geology just as much as he does. The class material was super interesting too! Tests were pretty hard but if you study the study guides you'll be fine. TONS of extra credit options.

Ok, any man who can say "blue balls" in a lecture and laugh about it get's an A in my book. He's clear about what you need to know and posts all the info you need for exams on Blackboard. What more could you ask for? Labs are easy.
