Lennie brought out the best in my musicality in private instruction. I studied with him for two years and wish I could study with him every day. Very knowledgeable and though he isn't as "organized" as he could be, if you come prepared, he will bring the best out of you.

I am a fromer student of Lenny from 89-94. If I had the patience to listen back then I would have learned so much more. Lenny rocks. Very knowledgable. Very good. Love Lenny. Miss studying with him in TN. Listen to him and do what he says. If he says practice your attack for 2 hrs .. do it.. there is a reason.

Lenny is a great guy, a knowledgeable teacher, and lots of fun. But, i gotta say, he's not alway organized, his instruction aren't always clear, and expecting non-jazzers to memorize a bunch of standards and improv off them might have been a bit much. gotta teach to who's in the class. Still, Lenny is a great guy and i know if i ever needed him for anything, he'd be there

LOVED Prof. Foy's Jazz History class. He has the greatest facial expressions! His crazy humour keeps the class lively, but you can't slack. The material is challenging, but I learned a lot. Sign up!!
