She writes the outlines of lectures on the board and you just pay attention to the lecture and fill it in. Tests are not cumulative and there are only four of them. They're all short answer/essay format, but if you truly grasp the concepts, you won't have trouble. Weekly homework assignments are required, but simple. You can get by without a book.

The class itself is hard, but you wont see until the second half of the semester. She gives a lot of pop quizzes toward the end but its mostly incentive to attend class regularly. You NEED to get the book, do the homework and study. She is a little snarky when you ask questions but she's nice over all and does seem interested in helping you pass

This class is hard. If you are just taking it to get a Math class because you are in thr College of Arts & Science & are an English/ Theatre major think again. You have to remember A LOT. It is not a fun class to take. There is a lot of tedious work & 3rd test is EXTREMELY hard. Not a bad teacher really but it was hard to stuff so much in my brain.

She was such a good professor! I did everything she asked, and it really prepared me for tests. If you do the recommended homework, ask questions in class if you are confused, and study at least 20 minutes before a test, you will at least get a high C or a B. If you study at least an hour-two before the test, you'll get your A.

Very helpful, great sense of humor. Tries to make the class as simple as possible, but it is not an easy class. Spends a lot of time going over homework and thoroughly explaining things. The tests are not difficult if you do the homework and memorize the formulas.

Tests are very very hard. You have to do the homework and memorize a lot of stuff. She's nice but this class is rough.

This is a hard class and she is very picky about everything, but she is nice and explains everything very clearly. She does expect you to do the homework and attend class. There are regular quizzes and homework every class, but that is just to make sure you are doing the work because it is very hard.

Not an easy class. Book is mandatory and expensive. Ask her for help at your own risk; her answers are always openly condescending and belittling. She only uses your four highest quiz grades, but if you don't consistently have the quizzes and homework she will grade your test harder.

Not an easy class. The only bonus -if you're a guy- is that she's not an old hag, easy on the eyes. However, she is a bit of a stickler on EVERYTHING. Your quiz grades and test scores amount to everything, she does a good job of explaining in class, so be there. Don't think that this is a good alternative to algebra; this is a harsh philosophy cour

Pretty easy class. Everything you need to know is discussed in class and if that wasn't enough she goes over it again on review days. I'll probably end up taking her for another class.

She was pretty cool. Essay based exams, one take home. make sure you go to class, she curves the grade on attendance. Go to the review for the exam, she practically gives you the questions. Outlines easy to follow, she is changing the book though. All in all she is pretty easy and is very helpful.

Dr. Kaiser is great! She knows her stuff very well and speaks with clarity. She doesn't give any written homework, but you have to read before you come to class. Make sure to take notes. Her exams are essay-based, but they're not hard, just as long as you study the material and come to class.
