Comment:

Dr. Boston is one of the professors who I have so much respect for. During the pandemic, he gave us assignments but gave us a week for each assignment. The articles and books he assigns give you a new perspective about media industries. I highly recommend him.

Highly recommended. I graduated a little while ago. I was a mass comm major. I took Professor Boston for several classes. He knows his stuff. I still to this day put to use knowledge I got from him. As a matter of fact, now everybody is talking about the digital divide in this pandemic and that is something he introduced me to way back.

I took Dr. Boston for two classes and I feel like I was challenged artistically in a positive way. Dr. Boston is really strict about lateness so try to always be on time. I am so glad I was able to take this class.

This class was AMAZING! At first I wasn't sold on it. There was a textbook and a quiz every week plus an oral presentation. But the professor made it great. Good personality and challenged you to speak and share your ideas about concepts discussed in class. He made sure we understood how everything we learn connects to our everyday life. Take him!

Comment:

Dr. Boston is one of the best professors at Lehman! He knows everything about media and communication studies. I have taken him for a couple of required courses and will take him again next semester. I have gotten such a strong foundation from him. Yes, he makes you read a lot, but it is worth it!

The readings are long and boring. Some are kind of confusing. Because they're so daunting, the fun is really sucked out of the class. He was super late with posting assignments and graded kind of harshly and took a lot of points off. If you're not ready to work and put aside a couple of hours then don't take this professor.

Professor Boston gives interesting readings and assignments. His classes were engaging, and I learned a lot. Most of his lectures consisted of watching a documentary and then discussing it. However, he is not clear with grading policy, what the assignments are, or the course schedule. We never received a syllabus. Overall solid.

Professor Boston isn't necessarily a bad professor, nor is he a bad person. He can just be extremely sarcastic, and (at least for this class) was extremely disorganized. Important assignments were too free-form, and they weren't outlined completely. Not to mention we didn't have a syllabus.

He expect that you read a chapter in 2 days and know everything, he expect that the student knows in the class all and come and talk with hi, he is not realistic with the short time the student has to learn. He is very nice but his expectations are to tough for a student

Very good! Took him as an elective class. He follows the syllabus sometimes. His exams are all short answer which is a downfall but he shows a lot of clips and gives good examples which helps when you're studying. He is extremely helpful. I got an A-. But you MUST have the textbook or read the powerpoints. How can you NOT pass?Take this professor!

He is awesome if you are a good student there's no way you won't pass. You shouldn't be late to class, do all the readings, and participate in discussions. He doesn't like when you are late and of course won't take a late paper. But in overall he is very friendly and clear. He is very educated man!

very friendly,great personality,make students feel comfortable. just make sure to do the readings only one book to buy, which will be used throughout the entire semester. from these readings you need to do short summary essays and just come to class.we watched alot of films and had discussions..midterm and a at home final (timed-through blackboard)

Prof. Boston is a great teacher. his class is very easy. I recommend him.
