Comment:

Chemistry was not an easy subject for me but I was able to make an A in Glaspy's class. He is very clear on what will be on his exams, posts practice exams online and drops your lowest quiz, lab and lecture exam. Attend class and study and you will make a good grade :)

Comment:

I would not take chemistry with ANYBODY else. He is an experienced teacher and knows how to deliver complex material in a way that clicks. He gives great notes. There are lots of grades in this class but it will definately prepare you for the tests. He drops lowest scores from each grading category (even tests) which helps! LOVE HIM.

Very good instructor, gives practice tests and quizzes online. Also gives notes for every chapter so the textbook is not really necessary, but the lab manual is. Highly recommend, he makes chemistry so easy.

I am about half way through the course and I am so happy I'm taking Dr. Glaspy for CHEM 1405. He gives you notes for every chapter, as well as practice quizzes and tests for every quiz and test taken. He explains material very well. I 100% recommend Dr. Glaspy!

STAY AWAY!!! I believe that he gets satisfaction watching his students struggle! Exams are impossible! Everyone in my class disliked him. He is very fake and makes you feel stupid. I don't know how he is in his other courses, but I DO NOT recommend him as an organic chemistry professor.

Nice guy, but TERRIBLE professor! If you go to his office, he is very rude and stern. He acts like he wants to help, but when you go to him for help, he is very condescending and arrogant! O. chem is a hard course in itself, so having a professor like this makes it harder. DO NOT recommend him as an O. chem professor!

Loved this professor! He is very organized with his notes, which u can print online, practice quizzes & tests so that u know exactly WHAT u need to know. Lab is easy with him, attendance is important as there is always something going on. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND HIM!!! (didn't use book much, but lab book yes.)

Comment:

Chemistry was a class I feared most of all since I had a very hard time in this course in high school. Dr. Glaspy evaporated all of that fear. His methods, instructions, class lectures, willing to help, and kind demeanor made Chemistry understandable and interesting. I wish that he would teach all of the Chem class I needed-highly recommended!

Dr. Glaspy is an amazing teacher. He explains the material so you understand what he is talking about. Rarely use your book, just print out the notes he posts online and follow along in lecture. He posts practice test and quizzes. The quizzes are extremely easy if you do the practice quiz. Test are a little more tricky. Overall, awesome teacher!

Dr. Glaspy gives very hard tests. The practice tests are helpful except on the real tests the questions are 10 times harder. Got all A's on labs and quizs but would get C's on tests even though I would study. Very frustrating! Wound up with a B due to his super hard tests. I did learn alot but found his tests impossible!

Dr. Glaspy posts practice test an quizes online as well as provides good notes that he lectures from in addition to the assigned reading. Tests were a bit too short for my liking leaving (not much room for error) but no too difficult. He also drops the lowest grade in each category so missing a quiz or test is possible. I would take him again.

Very organized professor with a pleasant disposition. The class was easy but I learned much more than expected - I appreciate his method. Very enjoyable experience overall and interesting things were seen in lab. Don't be fooled by the practice tests. They're basic at first but the real tests become harder as you go. Definitely recommend!

He is a great teacher, he really loves what he does! Quiz and test are pretty easy... pratice!! Watch out for the word problems..memorize the def's and all the common ions!! The final took me down to a B so watch out for that, was harder than expected.. Over all great class!
