I had him for basic ceramics. Even if you're not good you can still receive a good grade. At times he seemed a little out of it or tired but he was usually happy and a comforting presence. Was very helpful and would teach you if you ask. Easy grader and could find the beauty in any piece. He's very kind and made class therapeutic for me.

Sam is very helpful. He is very knowledgeable and always can make helpful suggestions. He is an interesting person to talk to and is very easy to get along with as a professor. If he suggests that you should do something, DO IT. It will help in the long run. all of his photography classes are fun.

had him for 3 classes and I like him and he's kind of funny but he is a rude teacher. he is all about his ways and gets very snippy if you dont agree. he helps who he wants to and definitely picks favorites. just try to stay on his good side.

I have had sam for a lot of classes, he is the nicest guy, and will help you with anything you need, the only problem is getting him to stop helping, he loves talking and being helpful! He's awesome and will really try and get students involved. He can be tough but for good reason sometimes.
