Comment:

Best professor. EVER. I had Polito for Basic Federal Income Tax. The material was pretty difficult, because it is tax law, but he explained everything so thoroughly that it was easy to understand. He is absolutely brilliant and actually knows how to teach. He is also SO nice!

Comment:

Very smart professor. He is always doing his best to bring real exemples to class. Very formal but his class is fun. If you do the reading before class you will be totally fine, otherwise you will be lost. His exam consists of 20 multiple choice questions and you are allowed to bring your outline with you. Get prepared and you will be fine!

Prof Polito's lectures are excellent and he's laugh out loud funny. I have all the respect in the world for him, he's sharp as a tack and made class uplifting to go to.

Terrible class. The lectures are brutal to sit through. He assigns an absurd about of reading for every class making it hard to keep up. Test was hard. Only 20 brutal multiple choice questions.

Too confusing. Does not bring material down to a level for all students. Very nice but timid and cannot excite a classroom to participate. We cover concepts once and does not go back to review concepts or introduce how they apply to the current material. He is very qualified to discuss corporations, but not an effective instructor.

Comment:

The only teacher at Suffolk that actually knows anything about corporate law and will teach you the law you need to know to be a successful corporate lawyer. [The other teachers haven't practiced in decades, while he clerked in Del. and worked at a huge firm]. Go to class, read, and take notes on each slide and you'll do great! I got an A.

LOVED Prof. Polito. Made corporations interesting and is the nicest professor at SULS. So respectful and polite, like someone from a different era. Exam was killer (only 20 MC questions) but he curves steeply. Lots of good outlines floating around and attendance is optional. But go to class, pay attention and read to get an 'A.'

Ok, so class was extremely boring, and he assigns lots of boring reading, but he is a very fair grader. I had no idea what to write for the essay and ended up with a more than decent grade. I would definitely recommend him if you decide to take Corporations.

If you want to have a thorough understanding of corporations take his class. There is a lot of reading but he knows this stuff inside out and does a very good job conveying his knowledge to his students. Also, he won’t call on you unless you raise your hand or are wearing a hat.

Strongly recommend Polito!!! He assigns a lot of reading, but he is thorough and clear in class. Has a genuine interest in his student. WILL NOT call on you unless you wear a hat. Great teacher!
