This class was so bad it felt like a prank. Talks absolute nonsense and answers questions with a question. Half the class would just leave halfway through.

Interesting class, very clear about grading during review (case-based, hypo to case comparison with heavy emphasis on key, salient facts). Can make insensitive/inappropriate comments, brush it off.

Robertson's antitrust class was outstanding. He's very knowledgeable and willing to spend time in or out of class if you have questions. His Spring '11 exam was open-book so if you pay attention and get the material, it's straightforward. It is true he does not spoonfeed you the details of cases - so ask questions if you don't follow something.

Elb is the man! He is the old school professor who comes to class for a discussion, not to rope teach you the law. Very funny, very entertaining, and very intelligent. You have to really work through the material on your own to get the most out of his class. Those who complain want the law to be rope taught, def not Elb's style.

Comment:
I liked Robertson, he is extraordinarily intelligent - though he went extremely slow and used class time to reenact cases. If you show up to class and actually do the reading, his class is a breeze. All you need to do is site notes cases on the exam and you'll do fine.

Unbelievable is really the only word I have for this professor. I honestly almost couldn't sit through class in the end because of my utter lack of respect for this man as person and prof. He clearly showed no respect for our class by showing up 30 min late to 50 min class. Even if he's a good antitrust prof I would never take a class w him again

Professor Robertson gets a bad wrap from his torts class (which, I did have him for) but he is an excellent antitrust professor. Look up his bio - you will not find a more qualified person to be instructing this course and he cares deeply about both the subject matter and his students. Assert yourself and you will be rewarded. Highly recommend.

He was hilarious and it really helped me remember the material. Many people complained about how slow he went but it wasn't too difficult. I didn't feel overwhelmed by the end.

Very bad at explaining the material. In the beginning of the year goes extremely slow, and then rushes to finish on time at the end of the year. Would definitely not recommend!

Comment:
First off, this is not coming from someone at an AMLAW top 10 firm like the pompous person under me. Anyways, the prof. is completely unclear in how he conveys the material. I read and studied every day for that class and I still only got a B on the final. He is a very hard grader. He makes what could be an interesting subject painful.

The comments here are extremely misguided. This is coming from the rare suffolk student who made it to an AMLAW top 10 firm. Yes Robertson goes extremely slowly, but he is not teaching material he is teaching legal technique and detailed critical analysis.

Comment:
Unfortunately, Prof. Robertson is one of the worst at Suffolk. He goes over philosophy for the first three months so 1B students dont get as far as everyone else. He also NEVER answers questions with a straighfoward answer. Completely inept at conveying material, and is a shame to the Suffolk community.

Used a hypothetical for contributory negligence straight out of Legal Lines. Spent the first month learning how to brief. Three 1L Day sections covered Torts through strict liability. None of those sections were taught by Prof. Robertson.
