He is super nice and willing to help but he doesn't use blackboard which is somewhat frustrating. He also gives you exam reviews but they DO NOT line up with the tests at all so they are not very useful. It also takes him forever to grade and give back tests.

Comment:

Professor Sussman is an average professor. I wouldn't say he is awful but I just didn't connect with him. His lectures aren't very substantial. At this time he had a TA who did all his work he really only showed up to lecture and didnt answer emails in timley manner. I wouldnt take this class again. Yes, he discussed material but not in depth at all.

I am glad to have had professor sussman. He is an awesome teacher and makes the enjoyable. No final exam or HW. Easy to talk to about anything and is super understanding. Take him if you need this class for your major or a just need another credited course. He requires two texts books that are cheap and easy to find.

Comment:

Mr. Sussman's Poli Sci class only covered about half of what his exams actually entailed, however a reasonable understanding of the function of US Politics prior to the class allowed me to pass pretty easily. The tests aren't terribly hard, however if you're struggling, the book is always there.

Comment:

Professor Sussman, is a great teacher! His class was easy, I could skip 2 days of his class and pass the tests with an A. He gives a study guide (USE IT) there were no quizes, just 4 exams counting the final and 2 assignments. He explains the material very well and makes class a breeze. Class was boring at times, interesting if you participate.

Great class and interesting lectures. He doesn't post PPs online but he does have study guides for the tests. It is a good idea to go to class to retain the information. I learned a lot in this class and would take Dr. Sussman again in the future.

Great teacher that explains the material very well. Also exams are really easy if u just look over the study guide he gives you for about a hour. And if you have to you can skip class and still be fine. Great and easy class so try to get this teacher.

I don't care for this subject but he made it a lot more interesting and fun to take. The way he presents information, through power points and lectures, is extremely helpful. Make sure you go to class because power points are not posted online and these are where the tests come from.

Great teacher! Highly enthused. Repeats stories a lot. Pay attention in class & take notes. Text not really needed- only read a few chapters. Tests okay. TA avail for questions. If you're taking poli-sci TAKE THIS PROF! Attend any & all discussion panels he's on.

I highly recommend taking this class. He is intelligent and knowledgeable, he also gives students opportunity to speak in class. Very articulate. tests are easy if you pay attention and come to class. I recommend this teacher because he keeps the class engaged and he proposes questions to the class. He respects students' views and opinions

Professor Sussman is an awesome teacher. I pretty much stopped going to his lectures because they became boring but he really loves what he does! 2 easy online assignments, 3 tests, lots of extra credit. Even without going to class I'm expecting to get a B+/A-. Definitely take him if you can!

His teaching method is sloppy.He sidetracks most of the class.His notes are worthless&his study guides are out of order&serve less purpose than they should,given how much he puts on them.ALOT of his test questions are just random questions,not even from his notes.DON'T TAKE HIM if you have a 4.0,as he could ruin it.Needlessly requires 94% for an A

Such a cool guy! I had no interest in this subject prior to this class but he made it very interesting. Attendance isnt mandatory but it will REALLY help you on his tests. 2 online assignments,3 exams tons of extra credit. Impossible to not do well.
