I think his big problem was he just didn't care. He showed a good sense of humor at events outside of class, but clearly didn't give a hoot about teaching the class.

Not a good teacher at all. Incoherent a lot of the time, didn't answer questions clearly, and grading was a bit harsh. I believe he retired, so that's a good thing.

He's a very smart guy and is really helpful if you meet with him during his office hours. He did go off on tangents a lot, but I believe that was a result of many of the students in the class. Overall, he's a pretty good professor if you give him the chance to actually teach.

Most useless and boring class ever. Never knew where we were in the book because he wouldn't keep on schedule. Half the time he just goes off on tangents about something totally unrelated to the readings.
