Professor Ussach is very knowledgeable but is not meant to teach public speaking. He has no regard for improving students abilities. Instead, he holds unrealistic standards and is blatantly rude when any minor mistake is made. He treats the class more like an acting class when public speaking is difficult enough on it's own.

Harvey has the potential to be a great Public Speaking professor. He taught me a lot this semester and I've become a better speaker as a result. Unfortunately, at times he can be very critical and not in a good way. At times he has made our entire class uncomfortable because something is not up to his standards. Improving his reactions will help.

Awesome Professor. Yes a very dry personality, but he is amazing and very knowledgeable. Yes Public Speaking is scary, but I learned so much because of this man. And people..SHOW UP!! Its an easy class. over 2 absense and don't even bother showing up again!!! he very fair. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! VERY WELL WORTH IT!!

He's a good guy and he really wants to help the students, even if it means keeping you up in front of the class having you correct your mistakes. But it isn't too bad, he helps you through it. He doesn't grade too harshly. & SPH is scary, but he helps everyone through.

Class was fun because of the students more than Mr. Ussach. He's a nice man, but so VERY dry and boring. He expects too much for an intro Speech Class; told us at the beginning of semester that he gives very few A's. But, 5 speeches were due during semester & we only to do an easy paper for midterm & a farewell speech for the final!

He is actually really nice and took the time to get to know everyones name in the class. He asks for your opinion a lot and gets a little angry when no one wants to volunteer lol. He once cut class after 10 minutes because no one would recite a poem.
