Brilliant! This is what law school should be! If you participate and read, you are all set! Much better than other property profs. So glad I had the chance to take him. I feel like he gave us the real law school experience! So many professors just repeat the book, he actually knows the material and adds information. A really great professor.

Comment:

What law school should be. Quick, witty and quite funny. I think u either get him or u don't. Started my interest in property, which I practice solely still to this day. What I learned in his class, suited me just fine with prop bar questions, which were, during my exam, considered the toughest Bar material/subject.

He is hands down the worst professor in this law school. I am sure he used to be fantastic, but he RAMBLES and is unclear about anything he says. Buy the E&E because you will not get any questions clearly answered. The exam was "fair" but if you do not study hard enough on your own with hornbooks you will have an incredibly hard time.

Good guy, average teacher, you will need to pay close attention if you want to get anything out of class because he is easily distracted. Had some good laughs in this class too, he's got a good sense of humor, and always well dressed!

Easily the worst professor I've had at Suffolk. Though he certainly understands the material he is utterly unable to convey that material to students in a way that is even remotely understandable. I recieved my worst grade in my three years at suffolk in this class.

Never even opened the course pack. Lectures ramble. A lot. It's too much material to cover. Says exam won't be difficult but in essence you explain 3 different Articles in depth... not easy. Dated. refers to cases in 70s at "recent."

He'll tell you not to worry about the exam.... he lies... while a fair exam, did not learn enough to answer the questions adequately... ie explain the principles of Article 9 and how the relate to each other.... only read the code to us, word for word.... take McJohn(?) instead

Took him for Property and am taking him for Comm. Law Survey. If you read Emmanuels during the semester you will TOTALLY get it, and do well. If you read Emmanuels and go talk to him with questions, somehow it all comes together and makes perfect sense. Go see him before the exam - he'll have you sign up at end of semester, and definitely do it.

Property-pays to go to class, take note on his "starting points" and basic scenarios-get as much as you can out of the class (don't pay much attention to the text book) and read a study guide for the rest before the exam----UCC course-attendance not mandatory and exam is very similar to the posted old exams-recommended course

Buy the E&E and learn the words "starting point" and "a ten year old would say...". If you learn how he wants the material on the exam you will do well - but he has only give a few A's in 40 yrs. Completely incomprehensible lecture, but he only wants basic material on the exam - you pretty much teach yourself property in his class.

A guy who knows the UCC backwards and forwards, but unfortunately cannot communicate it in an effect manner to people who don't work in secured transactions for a living. BUY A NUTSHELL SUPPLEMENT!!! Better yet, DON"T BOTHER WITH COMM LAW SURVEY. Seriously. But he is a very nice person.

Classic law school prof, practicing polished Socratic. One of my best 1st year profs, in particular because he practiced the Socratic method the way it should be. He rarely gives A's, but his exams aren't too bad. Participate and you will be rewarded.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Prof. Lemelman is a great guy, and is a master of the material, but he cannot convey it to students to save his life. I left the class with a C and not knowing a thing about Secured Trans despite having worked hard all year. I learned everything I needed to know about Secures Trans in Bar Bri and so will you.
