Comment:
Prof. Vietzke was great - not easy at all - but clear, precise, knowledgeable - you knew what was expected of you. And if you had questions, she was more than happy to go over things with you. Much preferred to the 'Socratic' method some here seem to favor using for their writing classes. That method is good for law, but not for writing.

She is a very fair professor. Very big on catching grammatical errors and they will count against you, so be careful! Otherwise, if you do your work as required, there should not be any problem in getting a good grade!

She lacks qualification to be a professor. You do well if she likes you and you do poorly if she doesn't. She does not have logic or reason, which explains why she stays at MSL after graduating and can get legal job no where. Do not be smarter or more accomplished than she is. She hold a grudge and will be out to get you.

One of the most helpful instructors at MSL. Very bright and articulate. Dot your "i"s and cross your "t"s before you submit your assignments. Offers numerous revisions before grading so take advantage of her generous assistance. First rate teacher, although she can be strict with grading. Very fair- I received an A-.

Very nice and more than willing to help you when you ask. She's a fair grader and makes you earn your mark. The material is a bit dry at times and you often wonder why you're learning it, but she makes it as exciting as it can be by bringing real world examples into the classroom. Be prepared every class, do your reading and you will do fine.

Leave your excuses at the door and you will do fine in her class. Given the limited scope of the material, she taught it very well. Her door is always open and is willing to answer questions as needed. Mutual respect is key. Keep an open mind about her and the WFL class (and quit the typical MSL whining) & you might learn some valuable wrtng skills

I think Holly gets a bad rap! This IS law school. Professors are not here to baby or hold hands. The fundamentals are taught in writing for lawyers. She is matter of fact and not warm and fuzzy, but if you ask her for help, she WILL help you. Writing like an attorney is different, follow her lead and you will become and effectice legal writer.

Another example of someone who has no business teaching at a law school. For God sakes how does someone with a bachelor's degree become a law professor?

Class should be called "write like Holly or fail" she is an utter bore and if your not in with Holly, regardless of your grade, she fails you. Heaven help you if you hold a post-graduate degree or are just a little smarter than her, she doesn't deal well with "students" who have thoughts of their own or are just a little brighter than her. LOUSY!!!

You're lucky if she likes you. If she doesn't, you won't like her class. I did well and I honestly believe it was because she liked me.
