This man was without a doubt the best professor I ever had. You come to law school for people like him. I have been out of law school for a number of years now and I still reflect on how much I learned. An extraordinarily caring, brilliant man. Also hilarious. I learned so much about contracts but also about being a lawyer and a good person.

Socratic. But don't let that scare you. Do the readings, take notes on any concept/UCC section he assigns--best to note his exact words. You will end up knowing more contracts and UCC than most outgoing 1Ls. His humor can be scathings, and he does pick on students who don't study. But Witt has a good heart--you will realize this after the fact.

Good overall, but somewhat vindictive, and a bit hard to figure out. He seemed to like the dumb students (especially the girls) and be extra critical of the smart ones, but I guess I didn't mind because I was learning more? Or not...

Remember: You are in law school. If you thought it should be easy, you are dillusional and should stop wasting your money. Prof W is an amazing professor if you do the work. The contracts in the bar was so easy because of his class. The people hear who do not like him must be the ones cold-called and we're not prepared for class. DO TH READINGS!!!!

W is very helpful outside of class, and a strange combination of hilarious and terrifying in class. Be prepared or he might burn you. But you'll probably get burnt by him at some point anyway. Do the work and you'll do fine, but take it seriously. This man does not joke when it comes to UCC codes - know them ASAP and you'll thank yourself later.

One of the worst professors I have had in my entire academic career. Ridicules students who ask questions, and gives incredibly unclear, unnecessarily convoluted explanations of concepts. Enjoys preying on vulnerable students, and is incredibly moody and condescending. Had to teach myself most of the material. Pure trash.

Wittenberg was my advisor. Now that I am at the end of my law school career, I'd like to point out that EVERY peace of academic advice I received from him was correct. If you are new to the law school, seek him out. You might think his advice doesn't apply to you, but it does. trust me. Follow his recommendations and heed his advice.

Professor Wittenburg may be liked by some, but I found him snarky, disrespectful and detrimental to the interests of first year students. His frantically written exams are way more more convoluted than even Bar questions. He does not teach as much as he expects students to prove their blind knowledge to him. He should lecture respectfully instead.

Its astonishing how much I learned from Prof Wit. He is tough and can be scary, but I respect that. He does not put up with students coming in to class unprepared. He puts you on the spot, but will take it slow with you. His class is tough but he is great-hang in there, you'll realize how much you learned. DO THE READINGS BEFORE CLASS!!

Witt is FAST, but he repeats things over and over. If you miss the minute details of a UCC section, wait a week and he'll come back to it. Pay attention, read, and understand the table of contents to the book--that'll solve problems for those who say it's disorganized. He puts students on the spot, but it's effective at preparing you for class.

I do not understand why Witt has this good reviews. His class is disorganized, unclear and he refuses to discuss questions in his office. I would run away from his class if I could.

Extremely intimidating, BUT a great man underneath all the sarcasm and whit. Expect to do A LOT for his class, but it all pays out in the end. His cold calls can be terrifying, but once you get through it, relief is satisfying. Don't sit at the ends of the rows!! You'll most likely be called on first.

Heads Up! He is a VERY poor explainer of topics covered. Do yourself a big favor and stop stressing out about not understanding him or having him cover REALLY important topics too quickly. Buy the outline book, buy the E+E, and read those. Show up for class for the sole purpose of getting credit for attendance. Bring EXTRA-THICK skin for pettiness.

He's tough, but as I'm studying for my exam, I do realize that I've actually LEARNED contracts. Do your work; read the cases before class! If you need help AFTER class, AFTER you've done your part, Prof Wittenberg will help at office hours. Hard class, very good professor.

Best professor I've ever had. Class can be scary & hilarious at the same time. Never come in without being prepared. Memorize the UCC sections as he unveils them. Exam is exactly what you expect after seeing 20+ practice hypos in class. I wish all of my 1L professors had been like Witt. High expectations = high results. Wants you to succeed!

This is the teacher you go to law school for. He's tough as nails in class, but caring and helpful in his office. His exam is totally fair, and he reviews what you need to know multiple times. Witt challenges you to excel -- and hits you right between the eyes when you slack or don't prepare. I will be a better lawyer because of this man.

Great professor. Comes off as really intimidating at first, but he's actually super nice. Constantly reviews important topics, and you'll end up knowing well. Take the time to do the reading and come to class prepared, and you'll get a lot out of it!
