Eh avoid if possible. Smart, but not helpful. Didnt do well, most my class was filled with patent agents, who probably took a good portion of the As. On call is the worst experience, youll never be right, and its embarrassing/waste of time in front of a class of 80+ students.

Knows everything, but doesn't know how to teach material. Talks in circles, never clear in answering questions, and argues with students even when their interpretation is logical. He has an "on call" list, yet gives students anxiety because even if you read the material, it's always wrong. Appears to brag that students don't pass his final exam.

Mysterious grader. Complete narcissist, but admittedly very intelligent. Kind of guy who makes my skin crawl - but I want to listen to him. Not in a Howard Stern way...I just mean what he says is valuable. He has a clear idea of what his perfect answer is. You should go to him directly questions (he will explain), and READ THE FOOTNOTES!

I loved Wilton but understand why others don't. He makes you think, and genuintely tries to create class discussions which seem to fall on mainly deaf ears. Socratic method gets old. He doesn't fill in case gaps or give context to understand law in class. If you discuss outside, however, he will. I found other sources helpful. Tough/fair exams

Poor experience overall. Have to teach yourself most of the material. Socratic method as he uses it is a waste of time.

Eh, avoid if possible. Tough, vague, policy-based class. Strange time-consuming final. Generally mysterious grader. Overall seemed fair. Class when you are "up" is mandatory, otherwise not. I see no need to use the text in this class, as he grades based on his opinions. Extremely smart man however, just not a teacher at heart.

Commerce Clause (Wilton <3s Darby), Due Process (Substantive/Procedural), Freedom of Speech/Religion and Separation of Church and State - master these as he teaches them and you will do well. If he says "all right," you/someone gave a good answer and should note what was discussed. Keep focused on the purpose of the law. I got an A.

Tough in class, he will argue with you until you have no idea what is going on. Warns students that many will fail his final. Just stay on top of the major cases and you should do fine

The worst professor I've had at Suffolk Law. Cancelled a third of our classes second semester for his trial team. Told us many would fail his exam and then turned in his grades over two weeks late. Arrogant, conceited and disprespectful.

Prof. Wilton's a smart guy. He'll find ways to argue you down, regardless of how you respond to his questions. He'll tell you where to find sources for his exam questions, which are, incidently, real cases making their way through the courts. I can see why some people might be turned off by his style, but he is only forcing students to think.

If I didn't have Baker for Property, Wilton would be the worst professor I've had. Rambles on his opinion about what the court decided and how he thinks the law works. Spends more time trying to figure out what the court will decide if they looked at a case again. His exam is just a random case and he said he expects many people to fail. STAY AWAY!

Nice guy, but taking notes in class is confusing because lectures can be disorganized. Only way to do well on his exam is to practice writing answers in that format. His exam is real fact patterns from cases, so start looking up cases with con law issues & practice writing exam answers. Just knowing all of the topics is not enough. Hard exam.

Wilton's advocacy class is the best. Its worth one more credit than all the other advocacy classes. Lots of work is required, but not very much reading. This is fun stuff.

This was by far my best experience in law school. Didn't learn anything in my evidence class, learned it all in Trial Practice. He makes it fun and is pretty hilarious as a torporous judge.

His passion for Con Law comes thru in class. When "on call," come to class having thought at length about your cases. He'll grill you;it's not personal. Otherwise, come to class with a rough idea. He'll fill in the rest. TAKE HIS PRACTICE EXAMS as early as possible. Supplement his notes with the BarBri 1-day review, and you should do well.

He is on top of his subject, but doesn't prepapre well for class -- rarely is able to call to mind the details of many cases on his own agenda. It doesn't matter if you like him -- he likes himself enough for all of us.

You will never know what the court decided only what he thinks the court decided. I dont know if I learned con law or learned what he thinks the law should be. If there is anyway to avoid taking the class w/him you are better off but he gives a list of when you will call on a certain group so if it isn't your night you don't have to read too much
