he is the cutest man alive, absolutely adorable. class is interesting to listen to him and he literally just lectures the class, don't need to do the reading.

Fenton is a really nice guy and tries his best. Unfortunately he seems slightly forgetful. The class and exam is not as easy as everyone makes it out to be. Fenton told us the topics for the exam, but also put other elements on the exam. If you're looking for clarity, the class is not recommended.

Not a real professor. Beloved because his course is easy and he is a nice man. Should not be teaching. Should have long ago been replaced by a real professor, if he ever was one. Doesn't seem to like sophisticated questions. A former judge, probably politically connected, and that is probably why he, like many others there, became a professor.

Getting a bit old, still an unreal evidence war hero. You can skip every class and get a B, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice. Worth going to his class. Get "the" study guide.

I did decent on the exam (B+) and I hardly attended. My only regret is this - I went to the last 2 weeks of class and I realized he is actually a Great prof. Go to class, it's kinda boring at first but I wish I went to them all. Learn from the judge himself!

Great professor. Really knows the material and easily conveys it to students. Not many people bother showing up to class once they get their hands on THE outline...but I thought he was great. Reasonable grader too!

The BEST teacher I ever had! A genuinely caring person. Learned more in this class than any other, but without the stress. Don't be mislead by other negative comments, they are flat out wrong! I would take any class he teaches.

Very clear. Very animated. Lovable guy. Knows his stuff. Takes things very slowly, so we didn't get to some crucial concepts for those who want to be trial lawyers. Barely touched character evidence. I still recommend everyone take him. Trial lawyer wannabes can get the rest in upper level electives. Easy exam if you take his practice exam

I don't know who would write that Fenton is full of himself. I'm sitting in his class at this moment, and he's telling us a story of how he made a mistake on a motion and had to suffer embarassment of calling attorney's back into his chambers. His is fantastic. His exam I understand is no cake walk, but what is in law school?

totally confusing way of teaching - some really understood (probably those who wrote good reviews here), most seemed lost. very full of himself, but seems like a nice guy overall. just not a great teacher.

Amazing professor and great class. Worked hard, got an A, know more about Evidence than most other subjects. Didn't take one note in class. Get the Fenton outline and just update it with new development which should be about a page or two of notes. He really cares about students. Showed up during our final and asked if we were OK. Who else does tha

He had a million stories and he mixed them with a million cases. It was hard to take decent notes, but there is THE Fenton outline floating around and that's all you need. Read through that and/or get the federal evidence nutshell and you're set.
