Professor Blum is a wonderful lady but she isn't easy. I spent several hours a week, reading, reviewing and asking her questions. Federal Courts is hard and so is she. Beware, but needed for the bar!!

Good class, really cool to learn about federal police misconduct lawsuits. Also, there is a final project instead of an exam, where you work with a practicing lawyer on a real case. Anyway, great class, and of course, Prof. Blum is very knowledgeable, per usual.

Professor Blum is an extremely lively and energetic professor. Unfortunately, she's teaching Civ Pro which is dry and hard. Her lectures are clear but the material tough to get through. She doesn't have any office hours but will make time if you ask. Work hard, her exams are not easy.

Lets face it, civil procedure is boring. Professor Blum doesnt try to make it interesting, but she does make it crystal clear. Attend every class, copy every note, and listen to her and you will do fine. Its all memorization and nothing real tricky. Great professor and great person. Exam is a beast but its definitely workable.

Once you understand how Professor Blum runs her class and what she expects from her students, you will do well. She does grade her exams hard but she is also clear about what she expects... on the midterm, several unexpected multiple-choice questions on service of process!

Civ Pro=she's a hard grader, and grades not off of the material but more what is written and how. Watch grammar and sentence structure. Her class is boring and non-interactive. She might be alright at Civ pro., but it's so straight forward, I cannot imagine how you could mess that up. Not a very good professor, and incredibly full of herself.

If you have any intentions of practicing in federal court, this class is a MUST! Blum's command of the subject matter is second to none. She knows her stuff and by the end of the semester you will too. She expects a lot from her students and expects you to come to class prepared and ready to participate. While her exam is probably the most challeng

While Blum may be extremely nice, her class was the most numbingly boring I have ever taken. The reading was in a very expensive book we were required to buy, but every case was distributed in class. They were long cases (40+ pages) and some only dealt with the subject matter in 2-3 paragraphs. My worst experience in law school, besides LPS.

Very good at explaining the material. Uses powerpoints and walks through all material. definitely wants students to learn the material instead of confuse them. Exams are not as easy as you would think because she is a tough grader.
