Professor Powers is my favorite professor I have had since I started college. She gives her students topics that would be easy to enjoy researching, proper grading, and she is caring when responding to emails. I felt very free to write about whatever, and I did not have to worry about this class having any agendas against one thing or the other.

If you are thinking about taking this Professor for ENC1102, you should! she's the best teacher! The class was really easy, some reading assignments and a final research paper (10 pages) also 2-3 timed essays, easy though. An amazing grader as well and she really wants you to do your absolute best. 100% take her! (meant to put 5 not 4 for her rate)

Prof. Powers is very engaged and provides great, timely feedback. There is a lot of work in this class, so don't cram it into a 7-week session if you're not up for the challenge. A power point with audio recorded is part of your final term assignment, along with a formal analytical report, so be ready for it. I really enjoyed the class, though.

Prof. Powers is amazing. Lots of homework, but it's not too hard. Grading is fair. She gives very good feedback and plenty of time to do the assignments. She answers emails back asap. Do the work and it's an A class. Would definitely recommend this her if you have to take tech report writing!

Technical writing class was very meticulous class. There is a lot of work to do, just stay on schedule. As highlight the chapter to ACE quizes and print them out to Unit Test. Coo Teacher...take her if you hate writing

I took this as an 8 week online class. Do not be fooled! There are a lot of assignments, and you can't skip a week or two and expect to just catch it up. She is a good teacher, devises good excercises, and she is fair. The rest is up to you. Keeping up with this class is the hardest part! I recommend it only to good students.

Very good course. The professor was very helpful. She gives constructive criticism and responds to email inquiries quickly. She also grades all assignments fairly. Students just follow the book and PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. All quizzes and tests come straight from the book. READ THE BOOK. I enjoyed this class.

I took a condensed course with her-8 weeks. She is a sharp woman who expects you to follow her outline and makes it clear that you will learn if you show up. Show her respect and she returns it in kind. As an older student, I found she kept me interested in the subject. The workload was nominal and followed the outline exactly. A worthy teacher!

Good professor, interesting class - teaches what you need to know for the "real world." Responds much faster than my other online teachers - the only one who responded everytime I emailed her. I took the 8 week class -- which is tough, but so were all my 8 week classes. I would take anything Powers taught.

Powers was the most helpful teacher I had last term. Yes - you have to follow the rules, but she's fair and really knows her stuff (sounds like the student two comments down from this posting earned an "F" and is using the site to vent -- who's the idiot here??). Prof. powers teaches you a lot and is very patient with questions.
