Great class, assignments, and professor. This class was super easy-- show up, do your work, and you'll pass. She also provides very clear study guides for the exams. Therefore, don't waste time reading the articles and textbook because she will pull exactly what she wants you to know in the study guide.

There's basically a quiz once a week and two exams. Small paper once a week and long paper for the final. The powerpoints are way too simplified. It seemed like a waste of a class.

Nice professor, but the lectures were very outdated, seemed like she's had them since the 90s-early 2000s. Also 90% of the class is 3 exams with only 30 questions each, so if you miss a few exam questions, don't expect to get a good grade. Wouldn't avoid taking her class, but wouldn't prefer it either.

Most common sense college comm class there is. Definitely would suggest taking her. She makes concepts super clear because she shows you examples from shows like Friends and Seinfeld. Didn't mind listening to her lectures at all because they apply to everyday life. Show up for class she does in class assignments that boost your grade.

Has random in class assignments. Short tests, which kind of suck because if you miss two questions you get a B. She's kinda boring, but not bad. Just an ehh professor. Also, don't buy the textbook she never uses it and even says her test material is straight from lectures.

There's only 3 exams with 20 questions (90% of grade) and 10-15 in class assignments, with the lowest 3 dropped (10% of grade). I wish she would have more questions on the exams, but they're not too difficult. Lecture slides are posted after material is finished. The material is kind of dry, but she tries to make it interesting.

Class was boring, but extremely easy. Doesn't put lecture slides online, and has several in class assignments, so definitely reccommend going to class, but she gives a review sheet before each exam that covers everything on it. I got an A and never read the book. the only time i used it was for the 2 questions she pulled for each exam.

Easy class if you go to the lectures. Her exams come directly from the slides she uses, but some questions can be pretty specific. She posted the slides on Carmen for the 2nd half of the quarter so going to class wasn't as important, not sure if she will post them again-it was something new she was trying. Midterm, 2 short papers, and a Final.

If you yearn for complete uselessness, ambiguity, and slight stupidity...you've found your professor. And, I'm saying this having done well in the class.

I wasn't too interested prior to her class, but she made the material interesting and relative to everyday life. Take good notes because thats very important. Grade is based on 2 tests and a paper. I would take any class she teaches. She is very clear, and makes a class period go by quickly.

Very nice but material is a little difficult. Be sure to go to class, take notes and study. Book not really necessary, grade is based on 2 exams and 1 paper.

You can tell Dr. Nathanson is very interested in the material she teaches. Her classes are apart of the rare ones that I feel like I actually can apply the material to the real world. Overall-good class. A's in both of the ones I took: just go to class and take good notes.

Nice, interesting class, though would benefit from being smaller. Grade is based on two exams and a paper, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The exams can get very nitpicky, but she is willing to help you out. The TA was harder to access than the actual professor.
