This class wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't easy. I feel like my writing improved. The number of readings and essays is about the same as other courses but she grades a bit more harshly than most. Keep that in mind.

Do not take her if you expect to learn what you need for Eng 101. This is a remedial English class, she teaches it as if it was 101 or 102. She does not teach you the basics that you need. Obviously if you did not pass the compass test you need these skills to get into 101. Very hard grader, no understanding of family issues or emergencies.

Dr. D (formerly Dr. Fenlon) is a very good teacher. She expects a lot, and there is a heavy reading load, but the class is enlightening. She is clear of her expectations, and outlines exactly what you should know. Very patient and has a strong love of the subject, as well as expansive knowledge of the literature.

english isnt my greatest subject, i get it, but i never had a problem in it. shes one of the hardest graders, not helpful unless you meet with her, and even the hints she gives to you in class, when you use them in class. she marks them wrong on your paper. i had to drop so i didnt fail. i wouldnt recommend taking her.

Mrs. Delfinado (Married now) is a really Hard grader. I got a couple low grades on my first papers in the semester but if you meet with her and have her proofread your drafts, it all becomes clearer. Im now a better writer thanks to her but be prepared to work your tail off! If your lazy dont take this class.Strict on attendance too!

I do not know how this teacher got hired! I dont think she got her DR'S she is insane! I havent learned a thing from her but how to be a bad teacher. She dosent understand that people actually have lives un like her. We have jobs and other classes way to much homework. I would never recomend her for anything but to get fired. Terrible teacher!!!

I would recommend against taking any class Mrs. Fenlon teaches, as she does not grade objectively. If conditions do not allow your separation, be prepared for blinding feminism and a militant classroom atmosphere; our class started at 30ish, and ended with 8, with no male earning a grade higher than "C". Agree with her views-and swallow your pride.

Should not be teaching. Unrealistic expectations of students, given her poor lectures. Criticizes papers for following notes she reviwed and set up with the class. Doesn't seem to understand "extrenuous personal cir****stances." Rude, bland, and class size dropped by more than half two weeks into semester. Laughs at own jokes, many painful silences.

Miss Fenlon is impossible. She sets all the papers up and tells you what she wants but when you do exactly what she says she still finds reasons to take off points. All she talks about is "poop" which she considers the "good stuff" and somehow finds a way to relate everything to feminism. If you have absolutely no creaivity take this class.
