Comment:

Being in Carol Miter's class was dreadful. I did not learn a single thing from her. Class was always unproductive. Always speaking jargon. She required us to purchase two books. I did not use a single one. She would require students to bring textbooks to class be we would never work on them. Do yourself a favor and do not take Carol Miter's class.

Comment:

Miter was there for the first half of the semster and unfortunately got sick. When she was there we would enter the class, sit down, and basically talk about nothing. Not trying to be disrespectful towards her but it wasn't till our substitues for the remender of the year came in where we all actually started participating and gaining information.

Honestly the worst professor. On the first assignment back most people were getting 20's and 30's out of 100. I would recommend never taking her class.

Worst professor ever. She was my last option for an English 1a because all the others where full. Grades very hard, too many assignments, does not help at all, gets angry when you ask for clarifications and will not clarify actually. She always threatens to drop students from her class

Comment:

Very repetitive (for things that don't need to be repeated) & talkative. Often unclear with what she wants in an assignment, sometimes expects you to be a mind reader. Will email you when you're absent and tell you how you can drop the class because she doesn't have patience. Not a mean professor, but could be a little less off putting.

The first couple weeks in Carol miter class I was having second thoughts about being there I didnt have a good feeling about her just the way she was and the way she did things but once the weeks went by I knew I couldn't have had a better professor I'm a better writer because of her. Give her a chance she'll win you over.

Miter is an extremely repetitive professor, so be prepared to hear her read aloud the syllabus 4+ times. She raises her voice to students and gives to class room a discourading feel. I will not take her again and do not recommend unless her teaching methods change.

Pretty much if you like teaching yourself, this is the class for you. Very discouraging and shes a super tough grader. If you like someone whos very critical, this is the class for you. Your effort doesnt matter.

This class was more difficult than my ENG1A. There is a paper due every other week. I was glad that this was the only class I had registered for because it was very time-consuming. Tough grader on papers.

Pretty hard, people say just do the work but it's harder than that. She makes you teach yourself with your own reading of the textbooks, and she tells you what to do online not in class...

If you show up to class and pay attention to the details it is not as hard as others describe. I am not a great writer but I tried and I talked to her before and after class. She is tough but cares if you can follow directions you can pass her class. She is trying to prepare students for the real world, no handholding.

Carol cares about you if you care about her class. Every negative reviewer is just lazy, unmotivated, and looking to earn an easy A with minimal work. If you got a bad grade for your writing, guess what? You probably suck at writing! And you need to improve! I was very motivated in the beginning but slacked off in the end. Still got a B.

Very hard prof. Didn't like my writing style and would always get D's. There's a quiz that she gives in class that's based on remembering 9 rules and examples for each one! You mix up a rule for another and you get it wrong! Not even partial credit.

Im not gonna troll but I will be honest I took her the first week because I was desperately trying to finish English 50. LUCKY I mean LUCKY I dropped ! Trust me he class is crazy I get the fact its hybrid but no need to make it impossible to pass Avoid her all cost !

Carol was by far the worst teacher Ive had at Norco. I would have many questions due to her many typos and format errors in her rubric. She would then send me emails basically asking if I even read it? I do not recommend taking this professor if you are new to norco or need to succeed.

This is the worst English professor any college student can have. She changes assignment criteria at the last minute, even though the assignment was assigned the week before. Then she get's mad when we are confused even though it is clearly her fault why we are confused. If your paper does not look professional, she will literally give you a zero.
