Comment:

He's passionate about design and teaching. Classes are fun and packed with great information and group activities. The assignments weren't easy but they challenged me to become a strong designer. He cares about the design's communication value. Making it pretty isn't enough. You have to think. I learned a lot from his color exercises.

Despite teaching classes about effective communication, it is extremely hard to understand what Petronio expects from his students. His lectures are stream of conscious rambling. Although he often mentioned how much he prepared for class and was interested in implementing new teaching techniques, it never felt like he had a plan for the class. In r

Really rude professor. Not sure how he expects others to respect him if he can't even do the same. Very critical about the meaning of your work even when his barely/ doesn't at all make sense.

LOOK TIME, BIG TIME. Starts the semester off by saying how professional he wants to treat us, then claps in our faces yelling "LOOK TIME" so we pay attention. Don't think that would ever happen in the workplace. Huge hypocrite. His approach to students is usually rough saying "this is wrong" "no, you're so behind" instead of constructive feedback.

Petronio is truly one of the better professors you will experience in the VCD program. Not only is he passionate about what he is teaching, he helps makes HTML and CSS easier to understand. There were countless times where he would still be in his office till 2 or 3 in the morning, and willing to help out students. He is a fun guy and a great prof!

Petronio is probably one of the best teachers i've had at Purdue. He makes every class fun and his expertise is amazing. He is a very tough grader but incredibly fair. If you got a bad grade, you deserved it! PETRONIO ROCKS!

Knows a lot about the topic, but doesnt share too much info. You have to milk it out of him. Ask a lot of questions. Not many critiques at all, so you should see him during office hours, sort of a tough grader.
