Dennis has no experience with any of the adobe programs we use, therefore he is not helpful. He does not TEACH, he rambles on unrelated tangents, leaving a 3 hour class period a waste. It has been an awful experience with him and I can genuinely say I'm disappointed in Purdue's VCD program and do not recommend it to potential students.

Professor Ichiyama just likes to hear his voice... All he does during class is mostly talk about "interesting" topics to judge you on. He does not care about how great your designs are, just about how many designs you have. One day he will say a certain design is good then the next he will say it's not creative enough. Unsure what he is looking for

Probably the hardest visual communications design professor I have ever had. Has a VERY "think outside the box" mentality and rarely will remember your name (unless you really stand out). Valued his expertise, experience, and his advice to be different, but he changes his opinion frequently.

very helpful, and he opens my eyes to new ideas every day, but he talks way too much. he will easily take up half of our 3-hour studio just talking. at 8:30 in the morning. and he hasn't learned everyone's names yet. it's halfway through the semester, man. come on.

Loves to critique. Crazy about typography. Very interested in helping. He was taught by famous graphic designers. He is a great teacher.
