This prof. will set you up for failure. I didnt learn anything in class. He talks about China and doesnt teach the subject. Talks about how he has life made and doesnt seem to care about his students, youre more likely to fail than to pass his class. Good luck if you choose him.

Awful teacher. Easy A. His 4 tests (only thing that makes your grade) are exactly the same as the study guides he gives. He tells you all answers are on google (they are). Save your $ and don't buy the book. Does not post test dates so you have to sit thru him talking about nothing and hopefully he will say when the test will be. He doesn't care.

Does not provide dates for his 4 exams. He schedules the dates when he feels like it and DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY EMAILS OR CALLS. Shows up to class 5-10 minutes late with snacks from the cafe. Spends class talking story about either rich friends from china or Trump. Does not teach class and his study guides are his tests. Worst teacher I had so far

He goes on and on about things that are not related to Economics. There's times where he does give examples but in ways that are hard to understand. Sometimes the discussions do get funny, but in the long run you don't learn anything. Don't spend any money on that book either, the study exams are the same order as the actual exams. Thumbs down!!!

DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK!!! All you will ever get tested on is 4 tests, with an average of 50-60 questions, all questions which will be given to you and google-able. Everyone would just memorize the test answers. Wanna learn? Don't take this class. Want an easy A? Go for it. Be ready to sit through the worst lectures ever.

If you actually read the book, the class is easy. He will go over the answers in the study guide IF YOU ASK. Don't expect to be given the answers. Also participate in discussions. Trust me, it will help your grade if needed. Fun class overall. He won't hold your hand but will help you if you take the initiative.

Gives no homework. Your grade will depend on how well you do on your exams. There will be four exams. He has all four study exam guides on laulima, the study guides are the same questions given on the test, you just have to memorize it. Alot of reading.

attendance is mandatory for the first 3 weeks after that people stopped coming after the first exam. 4 exams gives you the study guide in the beginning of the semester. SAVE MONEY!! DONT BUY THE BOOK unless you want to learn on your own! The STUDY GUIDE is the exam!! Word for word! Same exact order! Just go to review day and show up for the EXAM!

He never assigns homework, not very organized, often late to class period, and frequently complains about the UH school system and other various topics. The tests he gives (which is the ONLY way you can earn points in this class) are not accurate to the current textbook either. Would not recommend.

Kaibara is not so good in giving lectures. In a 50-minutes class, maybe he only lectures for 5-10 minutes. He brags about his friends from china, how wealthy he is and, he tends to go off topic a lot. BUT, his exams are very easy. You just have to study the guide and you'll pass. If you want an easy A, take him. If you want to learn, dont takehim

He doesn't help much when I asked him questions about the study guide and his lectures barely go over the lessons. He talks a lot about his personal life rather than teaching so going to class was a waste of time. Luckily, his tests are just memorization since the guides are exactly like the exam. I highly don't recommend him.

Kaibara has 4 exams, they range from 45-65 questions on each exam. The study guides are the actual test. You'll have to learn and study, because Kaibara's lectures are useless and a waste of time. I didn't buy a text book, but if you want to teach yourself, I would recommend it.

I took ECON 130 and ECON 131- passed with an A. Easiest A ever!! He gives you the "study guides" for all 4 exams online in the beg. of semester. They aren't even study guides- those are the EXAMS! Just print them out and google away. Come in for the review the class before the exam and get the answers you are missing, that's it.

He is the worst teacher I have ever taken. He give you these packets that are suppose to be your study guides for the exams your going to take but he doesn't even tell you where to look in the book. His answer to finding the answers are "Everything is on GOOGLE." There is no homework or assignments, its so hard to learn anything in that class.

Go to class and participate, he remembers. Trust me. He only has 4 exams which consist of your grade. You'll also quickly figure out how he does his exams. No worries you'll be fine. His lectures can be boring, but just pay attention to what he is writing on the board and you'll be fine. REMEMBER, exams are easy. You'll figure it out.

He is a very good teacher if you actually show up to class because he will remember your face and name. If you do the study guides and read you will pass the class. I thought this class would be really boring but he makes a lot of real life connections that deals with economics and it makes it easier to understand. Would definitely take him again.
