Comment:
I took Don Lenkeit's cultural anthro class in '92. I am now working on my masters in public health and, tonight, as I write about cultural lenses of health educators and program planners I can still hear Prof Lenkeit reminding us to put on our anthro eyeglasses. I'm very thankful for the real and relevant learning I did in his classes.-Pam Conelly

Don and his wife Roberta were the reason I chose to become an anthropologist. Excellent teacher, hard working, and skillful at teaching the realism of anthropology for today's world. He is one of my mentors.

I took this class about 5 years ago and still think about Lenkeit to this day. Very clear, professional, so passionate about Anthro. He helped me to become as enthusiastic about it as well. Not only did his lectures make perfect sense, he showed us how to apply the information to current events. Excellent!! Wish I could take the class again for fun. And I am definitely NOT a "school" person!!!!

pay no mind to the bad reviews. i began college as a fine arts major and have now switched my focus to cultural and religious anthropology. the work in Dr. Lenkeit's classes was some of the most rewarding work one could hope to be assigned in college. he was a highly animated instructor and could make me laugh even at 8:00 a.m.

Okay as a teacher, can't pronounce "particular," completely obsessed with the Yanomamo, is scornful of Wicca/modern witchcraft, and is generally very arrogant.

Very unclear teaching. Lives in a college professor world of metaphor. His lectures do not make sense or really apply to anything. If you are good at pretending to know/care then this will work out for you. I got a B but didn't enjoy my self or learn much

D. Lenkeit is a wonderful and fun professor that enjoys teaching his subject. The religions class is hard, but has many great applications for the budding Anthro major. Just listen to what he has to say and you will learn a lot. We students will miss you

He is the coolest man in America. All you have to do is read the assigned readings and you will get an A. He understands the pressure and stresses of college, if you and the rest of the class have a reasonable issue with the deadlines, he'll change them
