Dr. Winn was the best professor I had this semester. He is very enthusiastic and definitely knows his stuff. Weekly readings are interesting and I always got 10/10 on the HW. Highly recommend this great professor!

Comment:

Although no technical background in safety, he has realy excellent theories on management techniques. I enjoyed his class. Assignments were fair and relevant. A little arrogent but otherwise great professor.

Comment:

The only 101 class that did a real project. We tested wind generators with a tech report and presentation. I was glad we did something actually relevant instead of math and graphs. The weekly readings take a lot of time, but for the rest of the class it's worth it. Make sure you do everything exactly as instructions say for projects, carefully.

If I want to witness engineering be slowly compressed into nothing, I would've stayed in elementary school. And Winn isnt even good enough for that. 1)You're an engineering professor, learn how to use powerpoint 2)Ditto with excel 3)Nincom**** is not really an acceptable, or even respectable, attempt at name calling 4)Too cocky for how awful he is

Enthusiastic is the best word to describe Dr. Winn. He makes the projects pretty fun, but the weekly readings/ questions can be very time consuming. (At least they're kind of interesting.) Be warned, though: be sure your projects fulfill the requirements--his TAs won't hesitate to cut your grade if they don't. (I still got an A, though)
