The professors lectures did not help on exams. Exams were 90% equations. Final was very difficult. The professor threw us off by telling us stuff was on the final when it wasn't. That was not very nice. He will not disclose grades during the course. Your grade will be a suprise. He grades on a strange curve.This class stressed me out!

Very hard to understand him when he speaks. You will pass this class if you do all the homework, all the labs, study hard, and attend SI sessions or one on one tutoring. You basically have to teach your self. I recieved a B in this class and so did most of the people i talked to and we all did horrible on our test...Not going to question it lol

he is hard to understand because he has a nerve damage in his mouth which makes it hard to understand what hes saying he doesnt like to explain equations he just tells students to look at the book or see tutoring. he gets upset if u dont understand a prob. and says you werent listening. not a good teacher

Recieved an A. Really sweet, has a thick accent but you'll get used to it. Do the homework (helps out a lot), labs are quick and easy, tests are mostly calculations. This is a self-teaching course. Go to SI or Success Center if you need help. BTW grades on a GOOD curve! Took this in summer though, so class was really fast-paced.

Comment:

Saad is a wealth of information and experience. If you're going to be texting or sleeping away during class you WILL suffer. Class is heavy on textbook use. Just do your readings BEFORE class, do all the homeworks, dont miss labs, and you should be alright. Nothing to be scared of, its only chemistry! (or is there?)

Very hard to understand,has interisting stories.Need2 remind him2use the book4 lecture referance.Pretty much study everyday,read ur book/& understand it.Almost a self teaching course,exams are NOT multiple choice so really need to know ur stuff.

Nice guy, knows his stuff. BUT I would not recommend him to anyone - VERY hard to understand. Answers your questions, but if you still don't get it he gets irritated with u and u are left hanging. If u think u can teach this class to yourself then this is your teacher. I feel bad but I rely on this site to pick my profs. so I have to be honest

I loved Dr. Sadd if you really wanted help he was there. He has a bunch of stories which help pass the time. Make you study the questions at the end of the chapter and read his notes, which are directely out of the book.

I had a really hard time understanding him at first, but I have no problem now. His tests are predictable (lots of calculations), but not unbearable. He is sweet and loves chemistry. I would take him again.

Dr. Saad is a very intelligent and kind man. His tests are pretty tough. You must have a thorough understanding of the material in the text book to score well on the tests. His accent makes it a little difficult to understand. However, he is very helpful - especially in the lab assignments.

He comes across mean, but is very nice once you get to know him. His teaching style requires that you put more effort into individual study, but he is very willing to help you. You just have to show that you want to learn. High intelligent man.
