Professor Alvira is AMAZING!!! She gives the first and last exam in class(she gives extra credit) and the middle 3 are online. She does give one paper but she is an easy grader. Her lectures are not boring at all she gives her own experiences for us to understand the topics.

She was such a good teacher that I was mad when I couldnt get her again for Developmental Psychology. Easy Teacher. Some test online some in class but she gives you 10 extra pt on your test as long as you make a review sheet. You dont need to take notes or use the book

I took professor Alvira for an online class. Online classes can sometime be confusing for some people. What I like most about Prof. Alvira was that the class was very well organized. I have in-class professors that are too disorganized and I find that that makes learning more difficult. I actually learned a lot in this class.

I take her class online and love it! It is very easy as long as you participate. Each week you write a discussion post on a topic of her choosing (only a paragraph) and reply to 2 other student's posts. Quizzes are easy as long as you know the information, and there is about 2 EASY assignments a week. Highly recommend for an easy A!

Pleasant personality. Fair grader. Fun hands on group projects, loved this!!! Brings personal experiences that clarifies and adds to lessons. Will answer your questions and generally be helpful and understanding to your situations. Go for her class and you won't regret it......

Professor Alvira is the most a amazing professor I've' ever had at RCC. She is very understanding and fair. She gives extra credit and always makes sure that you are well prepared for the tests/quizzes. ALWAYS DO THE EXTRA CREDIT OFFERED. She makes the lectures interesting and promotes interaction. Class participation is a big thing.

One of my favorite professors I have ever taken in my two years of undergraduate college! She is sweet, understanding, and interesting! She chooses important information that is useful for the future and presents it in an interactive way! Tests are very fair if you learned the material presented in class. She's a must take!!!!

Professor Alvira is a fair teacher. She is a pretty easy grader but projects may not be presented very clearly. Textbook was not needed (waste of money to get it) and participation is important. Fun and educational field trip as well. She puts in effort in her lessons. Definitely from the better ones... would take again.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!!! If you have a chance to take a class with her, do it! Mostly all of her assignments are online. She is a fair grader, nothing is given away and nothing is unreasonable. You will be well prepared for every quiz you take and every assignment you will complete.

Alvira is a very nice prof and willing to help and make sure the subject is understood however the material was not presented straightforward. There are no notes, you must rely on the textbook. This course needs clear notes and I didn't have that. I would rate this class a B.
