She is very repetitive. Easy A, but a slow grader. Some work outside of class is needed on papers and such. Began each day with the same few bullet points each week. Very particular about it being done her way. Tests that were True/False were almost always True.

Pamela Spoto is the best English teacher I have ever had. She is so passionate about her lectures and everything she says comes straight from her heart. I highly recommend taking every class that she teaches at Shasta College if you like writing and having very in depth discussions about world issues and English matters.

Ms. Spoto is fantastic, especially if you really love writing. Taking creative writing with her was a great experience. Lots of feedback, good class interaction, and a lot of fun overall. She was somewhat strict about things like attendance and no cell phones, but I didn't mind at all. I'd recommend her to anyone, but especially English majors.

This class completely changed my life. It helped me determine what I wanted to pursue in my education. Fantastic Class, wasn't interested entering class but left with the best classroom experience at Shasta College. Super nice lady, understanding, reasonable. Difficult class but so well taught it's beyond worth it

I had spoto for 190 and 1a. she is an amazing teacher. By far the best I've had at Shasta. She is a total hippie. be prepared to talk about the earth and rain forest a lot. She is very friendly and helpful. Lots of essays, but they're short ones.

Her creative writing course was incredibly fun. Spoto is very encouraging and not judgmental at all to those who don't have amazing writing skills. She's all about finding the creativity you didn't know you had. Great class!

I have had Ms. Spoto for 3 classes now. I feel very fortunate to have met her. She is compassionate, inspired, lives what she teaches. One of the best teachers at Shasta. If you can take her DO you will love it! I will miss her classes.

I took Pamela's Environmental Emphasis English class offered in the Spring. I highly recommend this class and her as an instructor. She is very inspiring. Not only does she talk the talk, but she walks the walk... organic gardener, Sustainability Conference host, active involvement in promoting peace and justice! She will be remembered forever.

She's a major lefty...and it shows through sometimes when she teaches. But she's very easy. And what a looker! If I were a few years older... well ...you know ...haha. Seriously for pushing 50 and being a college professor they can't come much better looking than Pamela. Recommended if you're looking for an easy A.

Took her creative writing class. What a blast! She taught me entirely new ways to express my thoughts in written form. Very open-minded. For poetry, I couldn't come up with a serious poem, so I wrote a joke poem about math and sex. She laughed when I read it to the class, and brought in a math teacher, who put it up in the math building.

She is an amazing and open-minded teacher that has the ability to motivate thinking and learning in ways most teachers don't take the time to do. I had her almost ten years ago and she's still making an impression in my writing and reading wven though I haven't spoken to her in years. Best English teacher for writing classes.
