This professor is the worst! Confusing is an understatement, he half explains then gets impatient when you ask for clarification or help. NEVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. The original professor got with a month left in the semester so now we're stuck with this him. AVOID like the plague.

Comment:

Professor Vineyard is a good person but he definitely has methods of teaching that do not work for everybody. His class is 100% based on the textbook and sometimes is better if you focus more on the textbook than what he is saying. The way he lectures is confusing and does not go into detail when explaining. Also, he tends to skip certain topics.

The most boring lectures ever. Take notes fast, because while you are writing he erases the board . Old school, stuck in the 1980's. If you ask more than one question when something is not clear it will be too many. I got more out of a YouTube lecture! If you had to choose between taking this as a last class or waiting for another one, WAIT PLZ

Bottom line Professor Vineyard is the worst teacher I have ever come across, do not take his classes. He doesn't know how to teach and his tests are extremely hard and have nothing to do with the lecture material and homework. Save yourself the stress don't take his class.

Worst ever. I never tried so hard in a class before and still failed. I tried talking to him after taking my final which had a 75 on the test, he told me i got a 35 on it. I always attended class and did all the homework. Also i studied days before the test and still did bad. I never listened to people who complained about him but I wish i did.

He's the worst teacher I've ever come across. Whatever you do, just try to avoid registering for any of his classes at all cost! It will just ruin your GPA like it ruined mine, now I have to retake math425 again this summer! he doesn't know how to teach, he just uses the examples from the book and goes over the explanation mentioned in the example

Professor Vineyard is a nice man and smart, but he can't teach. His lectures were difficult to understand at best and his tests were near-incomprehensible. I understood the textbook more than I did him, it was that bad. This may sound harsh, but I passed with s "B" in-spite of him. Once again, he's a nice guy, but he's not a good teacher.

IF YOU WANT TO PASS THIS CLASS AVOID TAKING HIM. NICE TEACHER BUT NOT CLEAR ON HOW HE GETS THE ANSWERS AND SKIPS STEPS. HE GOES OVER QUESTIONS FOR HOMEWORK BUT TESTS ARE HARD AND ARE NOT WHAT IS ON THE HOMEWORK. HE LETS YOU USE THE BOOK FOR TEST IF THAT HELPS AT ALL.

I looked ahead at Professor Vineyard's reviews on this site, didnt believe it. But oh, its true, hes not a terrible teacher, but he is really confusing. The tests are really hard. Best grade I got was a C. The questions have nothing to do with the lecture or the homework. I would not recommend taking this teacher.

Mr. Vineyard was a nice guy, but a horrible teacher. He taught with the examples from the book. At least he went over homework. He skipped a lot of steps when he went over problems. Tests were super hard. They didnt cover any of the lectures or what we did for homework. The book never helped in tests. I would not recommend him.

DON'T TAKE HIM!!! he doesnt know how to teach math, he's up at the board trying to teach you, but yet he cant finish the problems. Has students telling him its wrong, and he just laughs. Test are super hard and confusing make no since even with open book. AVOID HIM.. I took it with J. August the next semester and PASSED..

Yeah i dropped this class after the first test. Open book and open note and I failed miserably. Seemed like 90% of the class was in the same boat. He is a really nice man but unfortunately very hard.

Oh my goodness, He was such a bad teacher, unfortunately. He's a pretty nice guy personally, but as a professor he isn't up to par with others that I've had. Horrible teacher.Even if you do all the HW and all EX Cred hours he doesnt mind failing you.On his test he puts quest that arnt covered on HW.Open book test didnt help.Goes over ex thats in book,hello we have eyes and can look our selves.More than 1/2 the class left just turned in hw. Avoid at all cost, waste of a semester and work only to fail me.

dont not take this teacher unless u really want to waste ur time and fail at the end. he doesnt care about anyone but himself, he makes it clear that he is a republican, and talks about democrats all the time, test are easy but his teaching sucks, you will find ur self using a tutor 24/7 because he can not teach..

although i passed the class, i wouldnt recommend this teacher. very hard test,hard to understand when teaching. He really does not care if u pass the class or not. does not really care about helping the students pass!! this is NOT a easy class.

Good teacher. Not as strict as other math teachers. Tests were challenging but good. Injected puzzels into class lectures made it not so dry. Do the work get an A in this class.

He is extremely helpful and sweet, but don't take this class if you get confused easily because he tends to go off subject, but he's great and it's a kick back class.
