I love Roger. I learned so much from him, and he really cares about his students. Not to mention, he's hilarious! He is one of the most fun professors I have had at St. Cloud State.

Roger is very friendly and does his best to be helpful... His lectures are rambling and don't usually relate to anything we're supposed to be learning. Directions for project are very unclear. Tests are essay styled and easy if you use the study guide. This class is easy, yet if you want to learn it probably isn't worth your time.

Roger is a great person who really wants to help you succeed. He was willingly able to waive pre-reqs for me. His lectures were always on d2l and he often let us out early. Sometimes it was hard to understand what he really wanted for each project though...

Comment:

Easy A, basically perpetuates to stereotype of St.Cloud professors. You get no real world experience, seems more concerned with the AD competition he heads up than class. Literally did not learn much from the classes I had with him. Grading is hit or miss. All in all take this class for the grade, the info wont help for the real world.

Roger is a good guy but is scatter brained a lot of times. His lectures get dry and off topic, but his tests are VERY easy and you can just read the book and do fine. You pick a company and do an ad campaign for them, but it is more the theory of how to put a campaign together. Good professor, I do recommend his classes.

He expects students to dedicate themselves in and out of the classroom. Very easy going and approachable. I learned a lot because I TRIED to learn a lot. He has great advice and makes class fun and interesting.

2 tests and a group project make up the WHOLE class! I didnt like how the WHOLE class was assigned the SAME ad campaign~I wish we could have had different companies to do. Nice prof...sometimes a bit confusing...rarely had to actually GO to class

I took Roger for two classes and learned little, if anything. The most useful thing was creating a campaign for a real company. Otherwise he offers very little in the way of understanding Advertising--I learned just as much from him, as I did from the book. What a waste of time

Roger is a real down to earth guy who wants his students to do well. If you are pursuing a career in advertising Roger will help you understand what its all about. He is unclear at times about presentations but tests are fairly easy and understandable. If you are taking 402, take it Roger, hes a good guy.

Teaches straight from the textbook, no additional "teaching" involved. Assignments are unclear and he seems to change them as he goes. His grading is very irregular and shotgun. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. His grad assistant grades his papers and those too are erratic. Overall grading seems to be easy, but not a guarantee.

In LOVE with this class! Roger makes it fun too! Tests are easy--and he's an easy grader. He has a good sense of humor and makes the class want to be involved. WONDERFUL!

EASY class for a 4 cr 400 level! tests are short-answer but he grades them VERY easily I never got a score below 90. there is LOTS of group work, and he is somewhat unclear about what he wants us to do, but he is easy to talk to and helpful if you ask. HIGHLY reccommend this prof, i will definitly take him again

Good Professor, lectures can get REALLY boring...only 3 tests and 1 paper...you dont really need to read the book if you attend the lectures...Very nice guy though and gives study guides for each test that limits what ya need to study it basically tells whats going to be on it!

1 paper the whole year. Otherwise, it's reading A LOT. Show up to class, Study guides = what's on the test (1 every 5 chapters -- go through entire book basically), so review that, & you'll do fine on the test. Lectures help with information, which he may add, so just reading isn't enough.

Dr.Rog is an awesome professor. I enjoy his class the most out of all my classes. I am a mass comm major and he actually makes you want to learn. He is a great guy. If you get the chance take a class with him!!!

Roger can be a little unclear sometimes, but he is a very nice guy with a smile on his face. Before each test you get a study guide, which is almost the exact test. Easy A, take Rog!
